Well first of all, it's PINK! Finally they brought it out, albeit a lot later than the other colours of the new nano (which are all pretty and colourful). iPod's just keep improving and the new iPod nano doesn't disappoint. Now with a new design, they made the body shorter and wider to accommodate the bigger screen which measures in at 2 inches. The design is much sleeker, firstly with its rounded edges and we're reintroduced to the chrome back plate.
I wasn't sure about the design at first but it's actually very cute. The screen is great and I can watch my shows and music videos in excellent quality which I didn't think I could on a small screen. The screen is much brighter than previous models and the battery lasts an amazing 24 hours, perfect for long journeys or when you're sat on the bus. When watching videos the battery lasts five hours which is enough to watch two movies or some of your favourite shows.
It has a hold button which is more hidden than on previous iPod's which allows you to put your iPod in your pocket or bag whilst listening without it accidentally switching songs. The iPod comes with headphones which have a rubber outer ring so they feel comfortable in your ears. The iPod also comes with a USB connector to hook up your iPod to your computer and iTunes so you can put the latest music on it.
The clarity of the music is excellent. The iPod is compatible with music formats MP3 and AAC and video formats H264 and MPEG-4. Additional features include the games that you can play and now download for your iPod, games incorporated are solitaire and the music quiz but you can download many like The Sims. You can also browse your music by album cover which is fun and fast as well as it showing you just how much space you have left on your iPod.
The iPod doesn't scratch easily; the screen and coloured part of the design is quite durable. The only part that does scratch is the chrome backing which is the same with all the other iPods that has this part of the design. However, there are many cases available on the market to protect your iPod as well as wipes and sprays that help reduce the look of these scratches.
The iPod is very reasonably priced at between £110 and £120 (may I suggest Amazon for the cheapest cost and most reliable delivery). It really is a very nice piece of technology.
