Advantages Design, design, design, build quality, iTunes, camera I guess
Disadvantages price is a bit high, battery only USB rechargable
I got my iPod nano as a gift close to 2 years ago, and I think it's safe to say I've "tested" it in almost every possible way. if you're looking for a stylish mp3 player, that can be used to keep youeself amused in the classroom as well as while trail running in the woods, you don't have to look any further.
This is probably what amazes me the most about this device. I've dropped my iPod on wood, asphalt and even rocks countless of times, and it got away with nothing but some minor scratches. Good work Apple!

One of the things I really like about iPod nano (let alone the amazing visual design) is its portability. It's small enough you can carry it anywhere you want, it fits in almost every pocket and there are countless armbands and pouches availible for it. Its screen, on the other hand, is big enough for comfortable music browsing. I wouldn't try watching movies on it though.
I also don't quite get the point of that built-in camera. Sure, being able to film some prank your friend pulled off or a doe youv'e just crossed paths with while running is amazing, but the video quality is poor and, for some reason, taking a photo instead of filming isn't an option.
Another annoying thing is the fact that iPod nano doesnt' come with an AC power adapter, USB cable is the only way of recharging the battery.
