The new shuffle doesn’t have a screen, a click wheel, and it can only play music. So what’s the point of it over the nano or ipod video? The iPod Shuffle was brought out for a new type of consumers the kind who likes to listen to music whilst exercising.

How much smaller can apple go! This new design of the original I pod shuffle is stylish and comes in many different colours. It is so small it can be clipped to your belt, your shirt I have even seen someone wearing it clipped to their ear. The second generation Ipod shuffle can only hold 240 songs in its 1GB memory which seems rather small when comparing it to my 3000 songs in my itunes library. One may be thinking that it would be difficult to choose which of your favorite songs to put on to it when you have so many. Itunes will do it for you by selecting 240 random songs and loading it up onto your ipod for you. Or if you prefer choose them yourself. It is simple to set up just plug it into its dock and load up itunes. Songs only cost 79p on itunes. It is only 1.62 inches long and about half an ounce. Due to its tiny weight one may think it has disappeared but with the trusty clip it will always stick to you. This is how it is more beneficial than its competitive ipods. It is small lightweight and doesn’t need accessories such as a clip to attach to your belt unlike the nano and video.

It can play up to 12 continuous hours. It has a hold feature along with a shuffle and a play list feature so you just do not know which of your songs coming up next. Since it doesn’t have a screen and it only has 5 buttons on the front of it is rather simple to use, anyone would be able to control it whether it’s a young student or a pensioner. You don’t know what music is going to come on next so there is always that element of surprise and excitement. The ipod shuffle makes sure that you will never listen to the same song in a row. You can run with, add accessories to it and keep it just about anywhere because of its miniature size. It just might be known for being the biggest and the best smallest mp3 ever!!!

I have had mine now for 2 months and I have had no problems with it. It is first class and is defiantly worth buying!! However one limitation into buying one of these is the fact that it is so small that and gets tangled up within the wires of the earphone and gets quite annoying after awhile. However it is simple and if you want to go on a run whist listening to something an Ipod shuffle 2 generation should be your first choice.
