The Apple iPod brand has taken control over the mp3 market and looks set to rise and rise.
The thing I love about this particular iPod is the sleek, super small and lightweight design. I previously had the iPod mini which is a lot larger and bulkier than the new shuffle version, and the reason why I decided to downsize.
The iPod shuffle also has a clip which you can use to attach to your clothes, bag, belt etc making it incredibly flexible for everyday use.
£32 for 1GB (it also comes in 2GB for around £55) is absolutely great value for money. They come in a variety of colours, including pink, silver, purple (which I have) and blue, which if you want something which reflects your personality.
Another cool thing about this product is if you buy it from the Apple website (which provides free UK delivery) you can get a free engraving which makes it perfect for a present if you wanted to put a special message on the back.
It is relatively easy to navigate, with five simple buttons: volume up, down, fast-forward, re-wind, and play/pause. There are also two small switches to turn it on/off and to use the playback style (either shuffle or not). The only small problem with the navigation I found was that there is quite a bit of a delay when you turn it on, I find myself constantly pressing the button, to see if it's working. Although this is probably my own inadequacy!
To add music is very simple. The iPod comes with an iTunes set up which you can also get from downloading from Apple.com. From there you would copy any music from your computer and drag it onto the iPod icon that comes up. It really is very simple.
The sound is perfect. Crystal clear in fact. I couldn't wish for anything more with a product of its size and price, and is a perfect inexpensive gift to yourself or relative/friend.
If you want a simplistic gadget to play your music (it holds around 250 songs), and a cool looking product then this is for you!
*Product comes with* I pair of white headphones An iTunes start up CD A USB cable to charge Instruction manual

Advantages: Small, light weight, sleek design and USB built in for easy plug and play use. Disadvantages: Once rechargeable battery needs to be replaced you need to send it away (costs money) and no screen.
Advantages: Very strong and portable. Extremely good value for money. Disadvantages: Some may prefer a larger capacity. Other than that, no disadvantages at all.
