Apple iPod shuffle 1 GB

The Ipod Shuffle...

When the second generation iPod Shuffle was released at the fairly good price of 49 pounds , i thought to myself , " Hmmmm... Should i go out and buy this very small mp3 player" , and i decided to wait for a while. As the months went by , the price of this impressive little gadget decreased to the very competitive price of £32.00. I was very impressed with this price as it dropped from almost £50!.

I purchased my precious little iPod Shuffle from the store of Argos , where i had a few surprises with my silver iPod Shuffle when i opened it with anticipation. My first surprise was the packaging...

Packaging

I was very surprised at what my iPod Shuffle arrived in my hands like. I never expected it to be presented to me in a very smart plastic box where inside , there were many helpful leaflets for the guide to operating my iPod , there were apple stickers with the apple logo where i stuck one of the two on my nice little box where i kept my small cute shuffle in for safety.

As I explored quickly through the small plastic box, i found my white apple earphones to equip to my shuffle. The white earphones were arranged in a small, plastic transparent bag, wrapped around the wires of each ear plug, tied round with a small grey wire to keep them safe. As i sorted through the box further, I found the charger that equips to the iPod Shuffle. I studied the charging wire and the slot where the iPod will be placed, and I noticed on one end of the short white wire was the USB connecting device that you will use to download all of your favorite songs onto your tiny little iPod. The other side of the wire was a very small and thin bar to put into your iPod, which will lay in a small plastic bed when you connect your iPod to the small bar to connect to your computer!.

I was very impressed by the packaging that the iPod was presented in. The plastic box contained all you need to work out you iPod , with the charger and connector wire , earphones so you can listen to your favorite songs , and finally some very useful and easy to read leaflets and instruction cards were also included in the iPod box to help you on your way to download your chosen tracks!!...

Isn't it just amazing what such a small and light gadget can hold?
I was quite honestly impressed with the iPod Shuffle , even though it doesn't't own a screen and runs with flash memory , the features were still quite an impression.

On and Off

The first feature i noticed was the on and off button. As i quickly turned on the iPod a flashing orange light was shown up on the bottom of the iPod which was letting me know that the iPod is on and working!! Later on when i charged up my iPod's battery life which last for around 24 hours , and also when I sorted some of my tracks onto the iPod , the shuffle on and off light let me know that it had almost full battery life and that a song was playing.

How much more interesting can these little things get ....

Play , stop , pause, fast forward and rewind!....

The second feature i noticed was the ring sized white circle which contained the pictures of the iPod's play button , the stop and pause button , the fast forward button , and the rewind button and the up and down volume buttons , which will really impress you with the quality the iPod gives you. All of these directions packed in one small circle of amusement to easily operate your iPod Shuffle!.

The next feature i noticed was the shuffle switch. The shuffle switch is useful to me as it shuffles through your songs that are on your iPod , and luckily , my iPod always brings me my most favorite songs be randomly choosing them from my song list on the memory of the shuffle. You can also change this back to normal mode where you listen to each song in the order they were placed in on iTunes, but I like using the shuffle button as it is very handy if i am not in the mood for the song playing...

The Clip
You can also use the clip on the back of the iPod to clip onto the side of your trouser pocket if you are busy at work and don't want to keep holding on to your iPod incase you damage it. This is great for me as i use this helpful feature on the back when I am at the gym as it easily clips on and i can listen to my favorite music without changing the songs with the shuffle button and i don't need to keep holding on to my Ipod as the clip takes care of that!!!....

What else could you ask this ultimalty unique type of iPod to do much more , it is just so handy and so unique and it only weighs 15.5 grams in weight!!...

iTunes

Itunes is a f ree site which gives you a chance to sort through your music files quickly and easily. You do not have to use it however 99% of people do as it is the top music thing in the world. Itunes also has a store, where you can buy your music from at a reasonable price of 0.79 pence per song!!!...
Now that music is basically all dealt with by MP3's, this is where most people decide to download their music. You do get many people downloading limewire which is an illegal way to download music , but i do prefer iTunes as it has great amounts of music to place on my Shuffle!.

Memory

You can hold around 240 songs on the iPod shuffle. I can only hold around 180 songs on my iPod shuffle as many of the songs each run for around 6 minutes each so they need extra space. If you were planning to hold as many songs as you can , they would each have to last around 3 or 4 minutes to hold the maximum memory capacity...
The 2 Gigabyte memory shuffle holds around 500 songs , so i would advise the 2GB model if you are a one with many tracks!!!...

Battery

All you need to do when you wish to charge your iPod Shuffle is to place your shuffle into the charging slot on one side of the wire , and plug your USB link into the USB port of your computer! Yes it's that simple...
You should only need to charge you iPod for a few hours as the iPod shuffles seem to last for around 24 hours of battery life!!!...

Sound

I was very impressed by the sound quality that this iPod gave. The earphones that the shuffle comes with feel so comfortable and they gave me that sort of bass feeling in your ears which made the quality even more amazing!!!....

The Choice
When i bought my iPod, there were a large selection or nice colours. These were -
Light Blue
Purple
A Shade Of Dark Red
Light Green
Pink
Shiny Silver .....

I chose the silver as i didn't really want a pink as i am a male , so i chose the silver as they were the only two colours in stock , and in my opinion , due to very popular demand. Also , each colour lets you store upto an impressive 240 songs of mp3 memory!!!...

When you have downloaded your favourite songs from iTunes or from the internet , you can easily add your tracks to your music library on iTunes or they may dirctly be added to the library for easier use , all you need to do is drag your songs right onto your iPod at the side of the menu!!..

The instruction cards will help you through the uploading and downloading process!!!...

Finally , you can buy these iPods from any good shop like argos or HMV or online, where they will come in fantastic packaging and very useful instructions will be included as well as the charger and earphones , which aren't the most comfortable but hey what more do you expect?!!!...
