Intro….. For a few years now I have used my mobile phone as both a music player and a phone, but recently my trusty phone has lost most of its battery life and listening to music severely depletes the battery. So, taking this into account I decided to buy a new MP3 player. I was looking around at cheap music players when I stumbled across the new iPod shuffle. I saw it on the apple store website and it looked alright. 4GB of storage, very small and light, perfect for me. I bought it and a few days later it arrived in the post. Size When it said on the internet that it was the smallest MP3 ... more

    Advantages Advantages With VoiceOver feature

Disadvantages Disadvantages No screen. Not enough control on the iPod's body

by Nelly Agbon Alcala - http://expertscolumn.com/ Before I upgraded to 4th generation iPod Nano, I had this Apple iPod Shuffle 3rd generation. The Design Apple boasts that this 3rd generation iPod Shuffle is the world's smallest MP3 player. Upon looking at it for the first time, I didn't have the nerve to argue. It is really the tiniest music player that I have ever seen. It is very lightweight and handy and weighs only 11 grams. I just hold it between my thumb and my forefinger. This tiny music player measures 1.8 cm in width, 0.8 cm in depth and 4.5 cm in height. Its plain and metallic ... more

Advantages Advantages Intuitive, simple design, reasonably priced, functional.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not entirely necessary tweaks.

I'm aware that bigger, better versions of the iPod can do basically everything - yet while I'm both tempted and frightened by the idea of a gadget considerably more intelligent than I am (but it can't love ... yet), I'm also quite happy with my little, comparatively inadequate Shuffle. It plays music ... and that's it. Which, from a music player, is pretty important, and there's the added bonus of knowing that it won't become sentient and turn on its creators quite as soon as a Touch. Actually, it does have one or two gimmicks going for it. First and foremost, it's even smaller than the ... more

Advantages Advantages Small, lightweight, beautifully styled

Disadvantages Disadvantages Supplied earphones are not the best

I bought the iPod Shuffle 3rd generation has I wanted a small and lightweight MP3 player to take to the gym to make my workouts pass more quickly. The iPod Shuffle 3rd Generation is available in black or silver. I can whole heartedly recommend this to anyone wanting a small and lightweight MP3 player to take to the gym. With the extremely useful spring clip on the back of the Shuffle it is possible to clip it to the pocket of your shorts or clip it on to your T shirt, you really do not know you are carrying it around, it is that small and light. Right I will now describe the various buttons on ... more

Advantages Advantages Simple, does what it says!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Easily lost!

My First Bite into Apple I've had my pretty little pink iPod Shuffle for over a year now. I have to admit under normal circumstances I would not buy an 'i' product. I'm not sure exactly what it is that makes me think it, but something about all these little 'i' devices popping up everywhere that subtly cries *evil voice* 'Soon we'll take over the world!' However, after winning some Apple vouchers as University for a project I decided to treat myself. I could have had an iTouch, as I won £250 worth of vouchers but decided if I want to play games I have my phone for that or my Nintendo DS and ... more
