I received the new Apple iPod Touch for Christmas this year, and it was definitely a step (more like a whole ladder!) up from my cheap little Technet MP3/4 player.

The touch screen is a nice touch, and allows the Touch to be one of the slimmest MP3/4 players I ever seen. However, the screen and the back easily pick up fingerprints and the cloth supplied doesn't quite get rid of them (although I heart glass cloths work especially well). Style chicks will especially like the back as the Touch is big enough to act as a mirror also.

My first impression was that the Touch looks kinda big for a MP3/4 player, but it soon becomes normality, and the wide screen makes watching videos easy and enjoyable.

The iPod Touch is also the first iPod in the series to use wi-fi to connect to iTunes and YouTube. Users can also use Safari to access the Internet as well.

The screen rotation feature can be a bit of a hinderer when the Touch is tipped slightly, especially when you're trying to use the controls in the process.

Overall, it's definitely a unique MP3/4 player and the little problem of it attracting fingermarks can be solved by buying a protective cover or case.
