The ipod touch is an amazing bit of kit for only being 3.5 inches of display it gets a lot in it and memory wise how ever many videos you put on it doesn't seem to make a large amount of difference to the memory status.
When i first saw this i thought it was a bit expensive for an Mp3 player but after reading about it with all its features i was astounded by how good this tiny music player.

WIFI: this is good if all the pc's in your house are taken up but obviously you cant really get a whole page into the screen(well you can if you dont really want to read the page). You have to zoom in and then keep scrolling across backwards and forwards. On the internet you can only watch videos from youtube as now most videos use the java player which the ipod does not have the software for.
The itunes wifi music store is useless sorry apple but i was conned out of £5 i paid for some songs and when i plugged the ipod into the computer it deleted them and there was no way i could get them back without having to pay for them. I was very disappointed.

App store: In the latest update there is a feature called App store this is very good except a few details. The games you have to pay for are a bit over priced, not if you buy one but if you keep buying the amounts stack up, another problem i noticed was that sometimes the apps dont really start and they load the screen and then crash then you have to wait for a minute for it to reload again. this gets very irritating. Free games are just shorter versions of the ones you have to pay for but they do upload more levels with the updates so really you get it free but you have to wait a few weeks longer for more levels .

Touch screen: This is the main part of this ipod and frankly how it works is amazing. It works as it should if you touch it it opens what you touched no doubt about it. BUT there is a small problem if you are outside you will find it very annoying to use as when the sunlight hits it all it looks like is a screen with finger prints and smudges all over it and it can look slightly tacky. i clean the screen once a day as its pointless doing every time you use it as you will be forever cleaning it.

Back of the touch: the back of the touch looks good as you get it out the box but as soon as you put it on a hard surface its ruined it scratches like mad it just looks rubbish after a few days and there is no point in getting a protective cover as it makes it look bigger and worse. There are some apple stickers in the box if it gets to scratched i would stick them on.

Coverflow: like all the new ipods there is the coverflow option this looks good as long as you have all the music covers but sometimes when you put songs on it puts them in different albums so you could have 8 of the same picture in coverflow and if you dont have them at all its just a music note and that looks cr*p.

Photos: storing your photos ont his couldnt be harder you have to save them all to the same file otherwise it deletes the photos you have already put on. Also you can not delete them directly from the touch you have to plug it into itunes and frankly i think itunes is rubbish but that will come later.

videos: store all your favourite films on the ipod unfortunatly not as simple as it sounds you have to change the format of the file to go on to the ipod unfortunatly to put a film on you have to pay £10.99 from the itunes store or pay £60 for a dvd converter that can delete the file from your dvd. The only way you can do it free is from google videos but that is only if the video you want has shared files. Or do it illegally and go to prison, i just get my friends to send me the vidoes but it takes hours for the file to send. So yet again you have to pay more.

Clock: This feature is very good if you are going away you can add the place you are going to in and it will come up with the exact time it is. There is also a stop watch which is good for running if you go out you can leave it running in the background and play your music aswell. There is also a sort of egg timer thing that you can use if you are cooking.

Weather; there is also an application which tells you a 5 day weather update straight to your touch like the clock this is good if you are going away but you need to stay connected to the internet for it to be accurate as it could change.

Maps : just like a mini google earth you can change from an ordinary map to satellite pictures this is also like a sat nav except like above you need to have the whole route fully loaded and if you go out and accidently close the feature you have lost it.

Stocks: i dont actually understand this so sorry

Youtube: Like i said earlier you can only play youtube videos but i would be aware that in the featured videos some rude content does come up so i would keep an eye on what your child is watching. you also need a perfect connection for this feature to work properly as otherwise it just takes hours for the videos to load properly.

Headphones: some people do not like the headphones that come with the touch i have never had any problems with them some people are just a bit fussy dont get me wrong i have had better headphones but they do what they are supposed to, also for a better set of headphone you are looking at paying out more money.

overall
This is definitely worth the money and fantastic technology but it does lack memory as for just over £100 my sister has and 80Gb classic which also does videos and holds more songs and videos. You are definitely paying for the internet features which i think could be much better and the touch screen( screen is good)
