I am not going toi pretend that I can inform you of everythng there is to know on the iPod Touch, they are so extensive in there functions i think it would just be boring you anyway!
Let me start from the beginnning, I saved up for the christmas just gone, and i wanted to buy my two younger brothers something which they would really appreciate and enjoy. A friend said why don't i buy them one of these, now don't get me wrong, i know what an iPod is, but i had no idea about an iTouch, therefore I was reluctant to spend £170 each on them.
When I first saw them, I was a little disappointed, I would have thought that Apple would offer you some inclusive accessories with the £170 iPod that you are buying, but really i was just a black thing in a small clear case.
On inspection of the item i realised that it is a very smart and very sleek bit of equipment, the iPod is really beautiful looking and the screen is just big enough
So I bought them, what I didn't know is that by doing so I am now the coolest sister ever apparently. I have never seen two teenagers smile so much and say thank you so much.
Now the first stage was obviously setting them up. There are many different things that you need to set up, the first thing we did was make sure that the iTouch was connected, I didn't realise that when you have one of these, you can connect anyway where there is WiFi, we have also learnt that if we would like to pay £5 a month, we can be connected anywhere, which i think is bloody excellant. There's no point being connected and yo don't know what for, the iTouch comes with a small selection of standard fuctions, one is youtube, one is google and there is another one which you can download new applications from..(there are many more that come with it, but i was most impressed by having a portable youtube) So we quickly went on Google and had a search for something random to see how the iTouch would cope with the search..excellantly and easily is the answer
The next thing we did was put music on them. This was easily done and if you have a normal iPod already, i suspect you know all of this!
Then we decided to start downloading some of the applications from the iStore, (the first one being facebook, and being free obviously) There are thousands of different games and different programs that you can go through and download for free or at a small cost.
At the moment my youngest brother has a few hundred songs on his iTouch and loads of applications, and he's still not struggling for space, therefore i'm glad i didn't upgarde to the larger memory, i think it would have been a waste!
I am personnally most astounded by how functional the iTouch is, i did not realise half of what it did, and i most certainly didn't think that it would be like a hand heldlaptop, the only thing this thing is missing is a phone...and guess what Apple have for that...the iPhone. The screen on the iTouch is so perfectly clear that we tested is by having a look on google Earth and it was almost better than the computer I am typing on!
Obviously i wouldn't recommend writing a ten page email on the iTouch, i thibnk this would be impossible and take hours, the machine is totally touch screen. But it does exactly what it is made for and it suprised me on so many levels.
One piece of advice, which is pretty obvious, i think this is best kept at home or taken out with you when you are driving...not travelling by train, walking, or going out. These things are a serious target for muggers, and i they can hold so much that I don't think anyone would be happy if they lost theirs! I understand that in the heat of the credit crunch, things are cheaper, and therefore, if you an afford one of these, get one!!

Advantages: Amazing for Mp3/Mp4 functions and amazing for gamily. Range of features are brilliant!!! Disadvantages: the speaker is a very poor addition to the 2g ipod touch, very tinny
