For my Christmas this year, I was ecstatic to receive the brand new iPod touch! Since December, my iPod has been constantly in my pocket, or in my hand. The list of things you can do with this iPod is unbelievable – use it to connect to Wi-Fi, or your broadband hub and surf the web for hours, or chat to your friends online with the ‘Safari’ feature; download new songs straight to your iPod from your iPod with the ‘iTunes’ feature; the ‘Mail’ feature – which allows you to add your own e-mail account; watch videos using the ‘YouTube’ feature; and all this is without mentioning the amazing ‘Apps’ feature, which allows you to search and download fun applications for free - or you can download certain apps that cost money. Some of my favourite free apps are; ‘Google Earth’, ‘Facebook’, ‘iDoodle2lite’, ‘Tap Tap Revenge 2’ – and that’s just to name a few! The sound quality of the iPod is impeccable – well, being made by Apple, that’s hardly surprising! You can hold a fairly large amount on it – I myself have two full length movies, over 1000 songs, and around 50 apps; with around 500mb still free. The main differences between the original iPod touch, and the 2nd Generation iPod Touch is that the new iPod is remarkably thinner, and much more sleek than the previous iPod, and also it comes with an amazing new benefit, that iPods have never had; an integrated speaker. This is a great feature, and a huge advantage over every other iPod. Finally, since I’ve had my iPod Touch, I have impressed – so far 4 people – so much with it, that they’ve went out and bought their own! Now if that doesn’t persuade you enough to buy one... I don’t know what will.
