After seeing it on the TV, and it being called 'the funnest iPod ever', I decided that I wanted one. I unwrapped it and found the iPod itself (with engraving on the back, as it was directly from the Apple shop), the headphones, the screen cloth, a USB cable to transfer music, videos and photos to iTunes, and some plastic thing that I assumed was the deck or something like that.
SOUND QUALITY
The iPod's sound is very good. It is very smooth, and isn't dodgy-sounding. The headphones are also extremely good. Unfortunately I do not have the proper sound deck, but after hearing the nano being play through it at my friend's house, it's obviously extremely good. Overall, the sound quality is exceptional.
EASE OF USE
The touch is really easy to use. It is vibrant and well layed-out, the apps are spaced out very well on the home menu, (the games are really snazzy!) and the sliding things like the pages and unlock thing are wizard. In my opinion, the touch is exceedingly easy to use.
LOOK & DESIGN
I love the look of the iPod touch. The smooth graphics and colours blend to make an easy-on-the-eye contraption. Pictures on Safari (the web browser, also used on most Macs) are perfect, even when zoomed in. Pages on both the home page and on Safari are layed out perfectly.
RANGE OF FEATURES
The range of different apps and features is unbelievable - there are millions! Unfortunately I only get the free ones, I don't pay for them... but, hey!, the free ones are still really fun! I love the Darts, Bowling, Four in a Row, Tic Tac Toe, and the Last.fm apps - they are my favourites.
VALUE FOR MONEY
The touch is quite expensive, even for 8GB, but it definitely makes up to it. There are so many things to do on it - now that's worth £160! However, unless you have got thousands of albums, you wouldn't really need a 32GB, maybe not even a 16GB. Personally, 8GB is all I need - I have quite a lot of songs - and I've still got approximately 7GB left!
SUMMARY
I love the iPod touch - maybe you will. It's brilliant! Apple really have created the 'funnest iPod ever'!
