In my opinion this is so much more than just a musicplayer, this is my own personal organiser with so many exciting features that will just make you forget why you bought the thing in the first place. To listen to your favourite songs on the move, and the 8GB storage capacity is great for the avid music lover, but might i suggest getting the larger 16GB model. With so many extra applications you can download in the AppStore you might not have enough room to store all your great music, and believe me, once you discover some of the wicked applications you will find it hard to put off downloading some of the pointless ones.
With so many extra features included with the iPod touch compared with the Classic like: Mail, Contacts, Calander, and Maps, i was concious this might be a security risk. My thief wouldn't just know what my favourite song is, where i lived too. But the ability to lock my iPod touch proved my conerns to be unnesseary, and allowed me to listen to music on the go, and check my email using the built in WIFI.
My concern was that the touch screen wouldn't be up to scratch, but despite my chubby fingers, i still found it easy and to select the correct menu. The simple, but at the same time quite sophisticated menu structure, made finding the song you are looking for in the hundreds of thousands of songs you have stored very quick and easy, and the abilty to flick through your album covers made it actually quite a fun task.
I have already spoken about the wide range of features, but at the end of the day if it doesn't sound any good what is the point? Well i don't have to worry about the answer to that question because the new iPod Touch sounds amazing.
Overall this is a very good product and well worrth its price tag, infact if it was another £100 it would still be a great purchase.

Review of Apple iPod touch 8 GB
Advantages: Amazing for Mp3/Mp4 functions and amazing for gamily. Range of features are brilliant!!! Disadvantages: the speaker is a very poor addition to the 2g ipod touch, very tinny
