In my opinion the iPod touch is the best in the MP3 player category. With features such as the applications and album artwork it is much more than just a music playing device. However, I would recommend most music listeners to go for a higher memory option. The headphones are not very durable however, and are expensive to replace. That s one drawback of the iPod, all the accessories and software updates tend to be expensive. With the accessories it may be best to look elsewhere than the official Apple products as there are good alternatives. Unless you want a simple music player, in which case I would recommend the iPod shuffle, I think this easily beats the competition in attractiveness and, like most Apple products, just being cool! Its is not the cheapest in its category, but I think it is without a doubt the best.

Advantages: A respected MP3 player with a touch screen, mail, weather, stocks, etc. Disadvantages: Slow Internet applications, DRM restricted music, no Linux compatibility.

Advantages: Superb screen, ability to view photos, WiFi, e-mail, different applications, Music Store, Games, View films Disadvantages: Back is easily scratched (use a case), Can be quite complex, touch screen can be fiddly
