Apple iPod touch 8 GB

When it comes to using mobile devices I have been through many. I came across the iPod Touch 4th generation around August 2010 when it was released and decided to purchase the device early 2011 with some money I gathered over the Christmas period. At £180 I bought the 8GB iPod Touch from Apple.

I had previous to the iPod Touch, an iPod nano 6G and a PSP. I know what your thinking, weird combination however it gave me a good background as I used the PSP for gaming and the iPod Nano 6G for Music. So getting the iPod Touch was a combination of the two devices. When I purchased the device it was in a time when iOS 4 was released so I had to plug the old cable into the old PC and into the old iTunes.

However thanks to iOS 5 and iCloud. New buyers of the Apple iPod Touch will not need a PC. The device is now PC free and all is explained on the device when you are starting it up. If you are a previous user of Apple products or a brand new user this doesn't matter as the iPod Touch is dead simple to use. The layout is brilliantly easy and the HD Retina Display works gorgeously on the device.

The only problem with starting up with the iPod Touch is the difficult task of laying out your settings. This does take some time to set up but in my opinion every device does when you have just bought it. After a year working consistently everyday with the device I have found that it is the best mobile device around. It is so simple, it is fast and it looks beautiful. During this period I have used other devices like the Galaxy Note and the Android devices that rival the iPod Touch and they are not even close to what the Apple experience offers you.

There are only a few problems with the device that I have been able to flag up over the year or so with it by my side. 1 - The lack of Flash - Having Flash isn't that vital however when a website includes Flash, the device will not show this as it doesn't support Flash. I only have this problem on average 3 times a month and I wouldn't say it affects my experience in the slightest. The 2nd issue is that if you don't have a cover or film over the screen it will easily scratch. This is a minor issue as most times they include a screen protector in the packaging. If not these are available on-line for a dirt cheap price.

The applications for the iPod Touch are limitless, and have increased and enhanced all areas of my life. What I mean by this is that the iPod has improved my productivity by allowing me to access apps that keep me up-to-date and organised, My entertainment lifestyle has improved with apps that keep me laughing. And my methods of Communication and Socializing with people are dramatically improved with apps like Twitter being integrated into the system. The iPod includes a HD Camera and Recorder, with a microphone and a Music area for you to play all your music from one place. The Applications with the iPod Touch are limitless. iMessage and Notification Center are also features added on iOS5 and they are superb. iMessage allows you to keep in contact via WiFi with any other iOS users. iPad, iPhone no matter what you can real time message them. And it is a beautiful service. Notification Center is ideal for your needs, as it notifies you in a way that doesn't disrupt activities. One drag from the top screen and you can see everything that you need to be notified about. Mail, Stocks, Weather etc. etc. It is Simply awesome!

To summarise my experience with this product. I would say these words. Once you have had this device or owned it, all you want to do is be with it all the time. It is a game changer and it can certainly alter your past and future experineces with any mobile device. With the high price you know you are buying quality and any other user of the iPod Touch 4G will tell you that it is simply Perfection.
