Purchasing --------------------
I brought the Apple Wired Keyboard from John Lewis for £19.00.
It came in a nice simple white Apple box with images of the keyboard profiles on each side.
Inside the box, you get the keyboard and an extension USB cable.
Design --------------------
The keyboard is quite small with hardly any borders, which is great for saving space on your desk. The keys are white and the outer case is transparent plastic. It has a quality look and matches Apple hardware very nicely.
The short USB cable is designed for connection to an iMac (all in one) or Apple display (which has USB ports) which saves on cable clutter. If you want to connect the keyboard to the base unit (such as a Power Mac or Mac Pro) or use a non-Apple monitor, then you can use the USB extension lead. The extension lead has a notch to use with only Apple keyboards because it is a USB 1.1 device.
Usage --------------------
The keyboard is very nice to type on. Pressing a key has a nice firm feel and good amount of travel. Instead of having flip down legs which easily get broken, the keyboard is moulded with a nice tilt and is very comfortable to type on.
There are also volume up/down/mute and disc eject keys. There are two USB 1.1 ports on the back of the keyboard which is very convenient for low power devices such as mice, bluetooth donges etc. They are not designed for USB hard drives etc.
I experimented by plugging into a Windows PC and it was detected and seemed to work fine, so it's fine if you want to add a touch of Apple style to a Windows PC! The eject key didn't seem to work on Windows, and the Apple/Command key acts like the Windows key.
Dirt --------------------
Many people have commented in other reviews that the keyboard gets dirty quickly, but you only see it more because it is white. I personally clean it every week by disconnecting it and running the vacuum (with brush attachment) over the keys then wiping with a damp cloth.
Summary --------------------
Overall, this is an excellent keyboard. It's very nice to type on, looks great and is compact. Plus at under £20, it's a bargain!
Advantages: Separated keys; very nice to type on, very nice to look at (doh!) Disadvantages: None really
I've just purchased the Apple Snow Leopard Mac Box Set from my local Apple authorised service provider, and decided to buy an Apple keyboard with it. The Apple keyboard is priced around £28.00 - and no matter what keyboard I try I can type the fastest with this keyboard due to the separated keys. Very quiet key stroke during operation and just very pleasant to use. The keyboard enclosure is made from aluminium and even without being too close to ... ...need it. Although the Apple Keyboard was made for the Mac it works perfectly well on Windows (and for me it works on XP/Vista/7 fine). The cmd/command key will link as the Windows key on a PC and the F keys at the top may or may not work - I'm not sure on that one. Overall I recommend this keyboard especially for those that have a Mac - but who says PC users can't purchase this too? :) ...

Advantages: Good Multimedia Keys, Flat Desgin, Very Easy to Type. Disadvantages: Need's OS X Tiger with the latest update or higher, No good on Windows.
This Apple Keyboard has to be one of the best Apple have ever made. First of with the design, Taking after the Mac Book Keyboard style, it feels like typing on Laptop Keyboard. Typing is very quick and easy. The Keyboard is VERY thin and so it's very easy to move around but will stay where it's put.
The Keyboard also has multimedia Keys. These Keys work on OS X good and will work on Windows with Boot Camp Drivers. The Keyboard it self works Plug ... ...The Keyboard has Brightness, Exposé, Dashboard, Track skip, Pause/Play, Mute, Volume Keys and a Eject Button.
The Keyboard being so small does suffer from a small "L Enter Key" however I haven't found this to be a problem. The Keyboard also comes with 2 USB 2.0 Ports on the Left and Right hand side. In trying these they haven't been very useful however, they are good if you want to plug in your Mouse or USB Flash drive. Keeping the Keyboard tidy ...

Apple Wired Keyboard
I bought the Apple wired keyboard in the new belfast Apple store around two days ago! I bought the wired and wireless version, I also bought a Apple Wired and Wireless Mighty Mouse! I would rather have the wired keyboard than the wireless because the wired keyboard has two USB 2.0 slots on the top sides, the wireless does not have USB 2.0 slots it has the On and Off switch!
The good things about the Apple Wired Keyboard is ... ...only has the Letters no Up, Down, Left and Right etc buttons). It stays in one place on your desktop it does not slide around! Overall
It is a very good keyboard the best keyboard ive bought. It cost me £29.99 in the Apple store in Belfast! ...

Advantages: Smooth keys, no places for dirt to reside, keys stay clean Disadvantages: USB port is underneath & bulky sticks will make the keyboard wobble slightly
Last March (2006) I bought an iMac, which came with the now old style keyboard. This keyboard was in a type of plastic 'container', which meant bits of food (lets face it, who doesn't eat at their computer!!), stray hairs (I'm balding and have a stressful job!) and dust. This 'container' really was that! All the dirt, grime, dust and others resided under the keys, and no matter how much compressed air spray I used or how many times I took the keys ... ...I have now upgraded from the previous keyboard, and the new one is very similar to the keyboard on the macbook...the new one is so smooth and easy to use, and was the best £30 I have spent!
Smooth keys, no room for dirt to gather, and sleek design!
Writing this review has been much easier, and as the keys are shallower they are more sensitive and receptive to commands. 10 out of 10 again Apple! ...

Quick review of Apple keyboard
I have recently purchased this product and was impressed with the overall design, its slimline look and aluminum enclosure gives it a classier look. Its keys are so smooth to type on and you can access the volume and eject features, brightness and play, fast forward and rewind from the keyboard. I bought mine from the apple website for 29.99 but I am sure you could buy in cheaper if you shop around, but overall a good product and worth the price, Im one very satisfied customer. ...

Advantages: Well made with a solid feel, Keys are easy to type Disadvantages: Not much really apart from the lack of support for Windows OS
Many people moan that applekeyboards are harder to clean... That's only because they happen to be white (instead of black). You just tend to notice dirt build-up it more, especially with the transparent sides!
It has a nice good quality heavy feel to it unlike a lot of other flimsy keyboards out there! There are 2 USB ports in the back of it - I found these perfect for using a little USB fan when it's hot :-) The keyboard itself is a gem to type on and not too bad for gaming either.
The keyboard itself comes with a relatively short USB cable. There is however an extender that comes with the keyboard to double the length.
For me a problem arises from time to time... every so often the keyboard disconnects itself for about 5 seconds and then re-connects itself... Not the worst problem in the world but a bit annoying. I've never ...
Advantages: You can work with it on your lap, no wires to tangle. Disadvantages: It's heavy and needs batteries

Clearly, I'm talking about the lovely white wireless Applekeyboard, truly the most gorgeous and prettiest keyboard you ever did see. I will refer to her as 'she' because she is most definitely not a he.
She is a little bigger and chunkier than most, being 44 cm x 11.5cm and stands 1.5cm deep at front and 2.5cm deep at the back. Her back is arched giving her a lovely side profile. Her underside is white and smooth and here you'll find a little hideaway where she neatly stores her 4 AA batteries, her sole power source. Her compartment opens easily with a small coin. Being battery powered means she has no need for a clumsy tail and she can be moved around to suit her master or mistress (no need to be sexist).
Her built in Bluetooth ...
Advantages: Very solid and loverly key action Disadvantages: Price
The problem with all Apple products (excluding the I pod) is that they are and still remain a cult. It's a club, a minority, and a religion. Like all religious types Apple users have that look in there eyes, you know the one, its that vacant look of the brain washed Christian who knocks on your door and tries to get you to follow a carpenter from Nazareth, or the sparkling eyes of a Buddhist Monk, the ones that look like Moby. Apple computer users have been on the road to Damascus and like St Paul have chosen the path to enlightenment, or no more Ctl Alt Del moments that so invade your time with a windows PC. But as well as the near perfect Imac and Mac Mini ,Apple also make things that actually fit more than Mac's, the Mighty Mouse and the Wireless Keyboard are 2 of them, and so now I have offended the Christian readers (come on it ...
The Apple Keyboard has been completely redesigned, inside and out. It features an elegant, ultra-thin anodized aluminum enclosure with low-profile keys that provide crisp, responsive feel. It also has function keys for one-touch access to a variety of Mac features such as screen brightness, volume, eject, play/pause, fast-forward and rewind, Exposé, and Dashboard. Its extended layout includes document navigation controls and a numeric keypad. And two USB 2.0 ports provide high-speed connectivity for your iPod, Mighty Mouse, digital camera, and other USB-based electronic devices.
