A more attractive office

Advantages: Vastly improved interface & security
Disadvantages: memory requirement

Having installed Office 2003 a little under a year ago, my first impression was that it was slow and clunky. It turns out that I needed more RAM in the system, so poped in another 512Mb and the speed is no longer an issue. Advantages: better to be creative
Disadvantages: more complicated than microsoft 2003

Advantages: Comprehensive suite of business applications
Disadvantages: Not easy to get used to. Expensive compared to competitors
