Advantages: The Final Book in a fantastic series Disadvantages: See review...
...Series of Unfortunate Events is a series of books by the fictional author Lemony Snicket (the author's real name is Daniel Handler). The series is Snicket's chronicle of the many many woes suffered by the three Baudelaire children.
"The End" is the thirteenth and final book in the series (on it's own it won't make much sense, so I highly recommend that before reading this one you read the twelve books before it), which to be honest is a good thing, because in the last few books the style and some of the ideas were starting to wear a little thin.. The Baudelaires float off from the fiery destruction they caused at the Hotel Denouncement, with their arch enemy Count Olaf sharing the boat. Soon they come across a mysterious island of superficiality and strongly set ways. It's difficult to talk about a story like this without giving away...

Advantages: Excellent story, lots of plot twists, excellent characters, Disadvantages: Some characters die, its the end of the series
...fast so I vowed I wouldn’t let this happen this time!
The book is fantastic, and is extremely well written. I feel that J K Rowling’s writing has improved a lot since the first book. I really enjoy her writing style and find that it is easy to build up a vivid image in my imagination of what is going on. However, having seen the films, I find it difficult to remember what ‘my’ characters look like and I find I am picturing the actors from the films. There are some new characters in this book so I still had some characters to picture with my own imagination.
This book had me hooked from the beginning and each page just had me wanting to read more. The book is quite fast paced, which is good as it keeps the story moving and the reader hooked! I don’t want to give too much of the plot away for those of you who are yet to read...

Advantages: Return of loved character and an end we can all be happy with Disadvantages: The story is not as strong as previous Potter adventures
...It was with much anticipation I listen to the final book in J.K Rowling's Potter Series. Despite being one of her poorer Potter tales it seems a satisfactory end to the series.
The characters of Harry,Ron and Hermione return along with the favourites such as Hagrid, Arthur and Molly Weasley, Luna Lovegood etc.
The book is fast paced with many actions scenes, maybe I am wrong but at times it seemed like Rowling had sculpted these scenes with the film in mind. This book perhaps more than her others lends itself to the big screen.
The camping scenes tend to drag a little but this is all made up for with the spectacular ending. The war that takes inside Hogwarts is a magnificent end to a series that defines a generation.
Rowling should be extremely proud of the Potter books and this final book/audiobook was the most difficult...
