So people that may tell you, when applying, that this is some "Dossers Degree", as I was told (by a schoolteacher, no less), where you fail to get to grips with traditional academic disciplines, are completely wrong. Review of Development Studies by

Advantages: helpful, well organised, supportive, good atmosphere
Disadvantages: can't see any
...The Development Studies School at UEA is based in the Arts building and is linkied with the ODG -overseas development group which also runs from the aerts building. There are variuos Masters degrees in Dev- my one, the MA in International Relations and Development Studies being one of them. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the recent induction programme is very well organised so if you come from another university it is not too daunting. There are many international students taht come to this department and there is a great deal of suport for them here as well as for home students. The course structures depend on individual degrees and I have to wait and see what the work load is going to be like...
