I bought my 2006 Aprilia RS 125 in september 2006 and to be honest it has blown me away. I had a very unreliable 1995 Honda NSR before this and it is just as good if not better.
My Aprilia is a resitricted version as i'm a learner (on provisional at 17 Yrs old with CBT) and it easily does 60mph, i think it would do alot more if it were not restricted. The bike is great fun and i would definately recommend this bike to anyone as their first bike.
The bike can be uncomfortable on longer journeys and also the height could prove a problem for shorter riders ie below 5ft 5ish.
You should also note though as it is is a two stroke engine the bike has to be kept at higher revs and to protect the engine i would recommend that you use good quality two stroke oil such as Castrol TTS.
The bike tends not to like starting in the cold and also i would recommend that you keep it in a garage as the chain and the metal work tend to deteriorate quickly in wet weather.
The bike has excellent handling, it is very responsive and really is great fun to ride, it is fast and looks the business. Overall a great learner 125
