...trust. So when I saw Aquafresh on offer and saw the word whitening beside it I decided to purchase this and give it a try.
I have tried many toothpaste's in the past, ranging from Tesco's own brand to Colgate and so on to achieve white teeth but still they just leave them not really white but just a typical tooth colour of that few shades down from bright white. With all of the celebrities in Hollywood having bright white smiles and looking perfect in magazines, it is so hard to not want to have white teeth just like them but it is so hard to achieve this. Some people are just naturally lucky to have their teeth so white but others go to the extent of paying for expensive whitening at the dentist. There are also cheaper alternatives like whitening kits that you can buy from places such as Boots, which I haven't tried. I opted for the cheaper alternative of trying whitening toothpaste but didn't just want to use any company but one that I knew I could trust.
I suppose having a good toothbrush also helps but still the toothpaste does the main job. I tried buying one of the whitening toothpaste in the past and it left me with sensitive teeth so I don't know what exactly that was doing to have given me that.
The packaging of the toothpaste is quite eye catching; it is a metallic blue colour, so it instantly stood out to me on the shelf. When the box is off the blue metallic tube still shines and has the navy blue Aquafresh logo on the side with the usual symbol of toothpaste in the three-striped red white and blue. It also has directions on the back, ingredients and what it aims to do while using it.
The toothpaste claims that it will flight plaque to help protect gums, help strengthen teeth and restore natural whiteness and lastly, give you long lasting freshness. The toothpaste is easy to squeeze out of the tube; they recommend a pea-sized amount for young children and a small strip for adults. The toothpaste comes out in red white and blue strips but obviously as time has gone on mine now comes out in a pinkish blue colour since it has all faded into one. It smells really minty which is quite fresh smelling and will keep your breath fresh also.
So after I have put the strip onto the toothbrush I run it under water quickly then start to brush my teeth vigorously to get them as clean as possible. Once I have finished brushing and the toothpaste has foamed up as much as it can I rinse it out and then check the mirror to see the results that it has given me.
I look up into the mirror and smile to see my teeth, they look really clean but there isn't really much of a change. However, I have now been using the toothpaste for about two to three months now and although I still wouldn't say my teeth were Hollywood white, they have gone a shade lighter probably but I didn't expect too much to really happen unless I paid a LOT. It definitely cleans my teeth really well though and the toothpaste has lasted a while as coming onto my third month.
This toothpaste I purchased on offer at Tesco where it was something like buy one get one free or the second half price. The actual retail price of it is £1.96 for the 100ml tube which according to Tesco Online is still on offer of Buy One Get One Free so if you wan this I suggest you go to your local Tesco now and stock up on this great offer. The deal is on until the 15th of January.
This toothpaste is a good buy but I am not sure if it will continue to be my toothpaste choice for too long as I still want whiter teeth and have so many other brands out there to try still. I will continue looking and reviewing but for now this does the job of keeping my teeth clean and my breath fresh and it is worth the money as it lasts. For more information on the product, go to the official website of Aquafresh which is quite simple http://www.aquafresh.co.uk .

...back.
I mainly use Aquafresh whitening but i do sometimes use Colgate and Macleans. It kinda depends on the offers at the time. Although i highly recomend Aquafresh Whitening.
The one i am currently using is a pump bottle which stands upright and it is very easy and convenient to use. Meaning there are no problems with squeezing the old tube on regular toothpastes to get the toothpaste out!!!
We all know what causes tooth decay and discolouring. ... ...improving our oral hygiene.
Aquafresh uses a 3 stripe toothpaste which provides triple protection.
The Red Stripe - It fights plaque - Our mouths are full of bacteria that build up on the teeth causing plaque. The plaque is caused by the bacteria catching particles of the food we intake and builds on the teeth causing a yellow plaque.
The White Stripe - It fights decay - Frequent sugar in your diet mixed with insufficient brushing can result in ...

Advantages: Tastes nice, Looks nice, Does the job. Disadvantages: Sceptical about the claims, although still sucked in by the marketing!
...But out of the three, Aquafresh is the one I most often buy. Added to that, I like to think that my toothpaste is doing the best it can for my teeth (yep - probably sucked in by the marketing again), therefore I like to go for the brands that offer 'complete protection' and 'whitening' too.

Packaged in what can only really be described as a ... ...majority of toothpastes these days, Aquafresh comes with a flip-top lid, which although saves you from dropping it on the floor and losing it, does occasionally get a bit gunked up with toothpaste.
Now onto the important bit - the toothpaste itself. Aquafresh is well known for being the brand with the three stripes. This version comes in red, white and blue stripes (in fact I've not seen any other colour stripes in Aquafresh toothpaste for a long ...

Advantages: Leaves your mouth feeling fresh and really clean Disadvantages: Expensive and too foamy
I don't usually stick to one kind of toothpaste, tending to opt for the ones on special offer at the time. A few weeks ago, whilst doing my shopping online at Tesco, I noticed Aquafresh Extreme Clean Whitening 100ml reduced from £2.43 to £1.50. We'd never tried this one before so at that price I thought I'd give it a go.
The toothpaste comes in a tube with a screw top. I personally prefer the flip top lid because no-one in my family seems to know how to put the screw top back on the tube! In the traditional style of Aquafreshtoothpaste this has the trademark 3 stripes in red for healthy gums, white for stronger teeth and blue for a fresh breath, although on looking at the toothpaste the blue in my mind is green! The Extreme Clean toothpaste has a micro-active formula which claims not only to clean your teeth thoroughly ...
Advantages: Good Taste. Disadvantages: No obvious whitening of my teeth.
- Price -
I bought this from the local Home Bargains store back in June, for just 99p which is quite a bit cheaper than other whiteningtoothpastes available. Not being loyaI to a particular brand of toothpaste, I usually always grab those that are on offer.
- Packaging -
As with most tube toothpastes this comes in a cuboid box, within which is a squeezable tube with a screw top lid, which I prefer to the flip top lids as there is less chance of the toothpaste near the top, drying out if someone doesn't put the lid down properly!
The tube is predominantly silver with Aquafresh and the well-known triple stripe on the front of it.

Advantages: good value for money Disadvantages: minimum whitening effect
I purchased Aquafresh when it was on special offer at my local store and can honestly say that I have not regretted the purchase. I do not normally use Aquafresh but will certainly buy it again as I found that it is a product that suits my needs. The packaging is eyecatching. The taste of Aquafresh is good and my teeth feel clean and fresh after using it and the effect lasted some time. Unfortunately I haven't noticed any difference in the colour of my teeth therefore feel the whitening effect is quite minimal.
From my point of view I will say that Aquafresh is a good value for money toothpaste. The packaging looks good and my teeth feel good after brushing with Aquafresh. I would certainly recommend Aquafresh to friends. ...
