I was introduced to Aqueous Cream after a visit to the Doctor. Few years ago, when my daughter was few weeks old, I noticed dry skin patches on several parts of her body. I was not sure what it was. Since she was my first child and a baby I was very concerned about it. I made an appointment to see the local GP. I was told it was mild eczema. She was given Aqueous Cream. She is older now but she still has the mild eczema. Which is not bad as before. I am hoping it will disappear in a few years time.
What is Aqueous Cream ? This is a relatively non-greasy cream compared to other creams or ointments used for eczema. The cream is quickly absorbed by the skin. It is white cream and unperfumed.
The cream can be used for many different purposes, in the bath instead of soap, soothing cream, an emollient, It is very good for people with dry skin. It is a good moisturiser under make-up and can be used if you have sun burn, it is soothing. It can be used for baby’s nappy rash. There are no harmful products in the cream. It can be applied to the affected area frequently.
TIP My daughter’s starts to scratch her skin mainly after a bath. This is when I apply the Aqueous cream. Last week by chance I took the Vaseline in my hand, then used Aqueous Cream. The two mixed together makes it more moisturised. If you already use Aqueous cream, then take this cream in one hand and just add a very small amount of Vaseline and mix it. Then apply to it dry skin area. You may like it or may not.
