I'm 22 year's old and like to have a few drinks on the town every other weekend . .who doesn't? I used to drinkWKD blue but they got really sickly and being alcopops also contained lots of sugar, so I thought I'd try something new.
I always used to drink the Archers Aqua, but again, they got quite sickly sweet after a while.
I came across Archers Peach Schnapps by ordering a cocktail in my local bar, which was called Woo Woo, (details later). This cocktail had archers schnapps in it and I loved it. I'm not a heavy drinker and I'm a bit of a lightweight as well, so I don't go for strong stuff!
***ARCHERS SCHNAPPS*** Archers Schnapps is a sweet tasting peach flavoured schnapps which you can normally pick up from your local supermarket and maybe even your local shop. Prices range from £11.00 - £13.00 for a 70cl bottle. It contains at least 23% alcohol.
Archers Peach Schnapps was launched in 1986. The name Schnapps comes from the old Norse word 'snappen', meaning to snatch a gulp. Form this comes the traditional way of drinking Schnapps in Europe as an ice cold shot.
Archers can be enjoyed on its own poured over ice in a glass or it can be mixed with many other things to create cocktails and other drinks.
***DESCRIPTION/TASTE/TEXTURE*** Archers Schnapps comes in a frosted white bottle with an orange screw lid, with Archers in big orange letter across the bottle. On the back of the bottle there are normally little recipes for drinks that you can make using archers schnapps.
It's a thick, syrupy, clear liquid with a very sweet peach taste. As soon as you open the bottle you can smell the refreshing scent of peaches. I can't personally drink it on its own as its too strong for me (lightweight, I know), so I mix it with Cranberry juice, which is what I normally order in bars when I go out. (Double archers and cranberry) This makes it even more sweeter than it already is, but I think its yummy.
A large bottle lasts me for about 3-4 weeks, which is about 12 drinks with archers, probably more. It also depends how strong you make your drinks as well. The bottle does get very sticky if its spilt anywhere so keep a cloth to hand.
***WAYS OF DRINKING ARCHERS*** Drink it with cranberry juice, Lemonade, Orange Juice, Champagne or drink it straight! Archers taste's better when chilled.

Bikini Martini Bubblegum Deep Blue Sea Jacuzzi Naughty but Nice Peach Fizz Peaches and Cream Sex On The Beach Sapphire Perfection and more!
A favourite cocktail of mine is: Woo Woo which includes:
25ml Peach Schnapps 25ml Vodka 50ml Cranberry Juice
Build the ingredients over ice.
Garnish with a slice of Lime
***OVERALL OPNION*** I think this is very girly drink mixed with cranberry. It's quite a sweet flavour, but is good mixed with different things. I don't personally find it too sickly if I mix it with cranberry juice, how-ever if drinking this neat, I think it could become very sickly.
Most good bars/restaurants stock archers schnapps, so its worth giving it a taste test. Its affordable and its great to order a big jug of cocktail when your out with all the girls to share.
Also a well known brand which I trust.
In terms of value for money I think its very reasonable as the bottle is quite big and does last quite a while, obviously depending on how much you drink.

Since the night when I was 15 and had half a bottle of archers and 10 whisky's I've not ever been a fan of it.......had sports day at school the next day, was not good!
