Advantages: Campus layout, good accomodation, diversity Disadvantages: Hardly any big-name acts come to the Union; slightly pricey drinks
...The first myth to dispel about Warwick University is that it's actually in Warwick - actually it's far nearer Coventry. However, it has none of the attributes usually associated with Coventry - i.e., bad architecture, concrete all over the place. In actual fact, it's a thoroughly nice place to be, one of the nicest campuses in the country. What else? Most of the people are well-informed individuals. There is a thriving social scene in the Union, and hundreds of clubs and societies catering for nearly everything. Quality of accomodation does vary, but then so does the price - you get what you pay for. If you do maths or biology, there is a ten minute walk to get to a separate campus, but don't get put off by that, you adapt easily. Most other facilities - Arts Centre, supermarket, Union building, sports centre, faculty buildings...

Advantages: Brighton is fantastic, good academically. Disadvantages: Boring campus.
...I originally chose Sussex University for two reasons: firstly the interdisciplinary nature of the courses on offer and secondly for it's location. Brighton is a fantastic place to live and I thoroughly recommend it. Two years on I have some reservations about the campus itself, which did not prove to be particularly exciting. ...of the "experimental" phase and are able to get professional desisions much easier. They also have acquired the basic skills, so they don't spend time on learning how to make a proper section, for example. In diploma, you mainly think about how to make your building "work".
combined masters degree
A big advantage of UEL is that it offers the option of combining the diploma with a part time Masters degree. You can chose one of the supporting studies modules, and attend the Masters option. It requires a little bit more work, but it's worth doing it. I have chosen the History and Theory option and I can say that I am very happy for that. The subject is very interesting and the tutors extremely professionals.

A basic factor in succeding in Architectural studies, is the right communication with your tutor. If there's no communication, then the project...
