Advantages: new campus, great atmosphere, great department, BCS accredited Disadvantages: some lecturers, communication between staff
...I'm currently in my second year at Nottingham University reading BSc in E-Commerce and Digital Business - a degree course offered by the School of Computer Science and Information Technology (CSiT) and also run in conjunction with the Business School. My course is VERY similar to the single honours Computer Science degree.
Why CSiT @ Nottingham Uni?

The major factor for me was the brand new campus built in 1998 which is a wonderful piece of modern architecture and very environmentally friendly. It has a very nice lake and an upside down shaped library and computer centre - a nice peceful environment in which to study.
The School of CSiT has up-to-date technologies and loads of computers for students use. Lecture theatres are very ncie and modern and contain all the latest projection/presentation equipment...

Advantages: Great academic record/prospects for grads. Unpretentious and friendly Disadvantages: Ugly, very PC and very campus orientated.
...I left Warwick a couple of years ago and have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Of course, just about anyone is going to enjoy their university experience no matter what uni they went to so that statement is probably a bit redundeant.
The things that do let Warwick down are these - it's too PC (the basketball team once got fined for putting up a leaflet for a social night that had the words if you don't turn up you are queer), it is the site of one of Britian's most heinous and unfortunate architectural disasters since the construction of Sheffield, and it is very campus orientated - although I actually preferred this myself.
So those are the downers.
Uppers, are manifold, however. The university itself is actualy very high in the TImes table and - although I didn't know this when I applied - is regarded as the best new...
