The built in speakers give high quality sound at high or low volumes and headphones work equaly well.

Its Wi-Fi capabilities allow it to surf the internet as well as its competitors. This 30GB version can hold 15000+ songs, 50000+ pictures or 7 or 8 films. It is also fairly good value as the equivalent IPod Touch would easily cost more. Versions with higher memory are also available. The touch screen works well and is very useful for navigating the various menus or surfing the web. You can also record TV programs directly onto the hard drive via the AV conectors. You can then playback the programs you have recorded anytime! The built in speakers give high quality sound at high or low volumes and headphones work equaly well.
Overall, the Archos 605 Wi-Fi is fun and easy to use and is also great value for the amount of memory. Highly recomended!

Archos have been very unfair here, as although when you purchase a mp4/mp3 player a mains charger is not included, you usually can cheaply buy one yourself. But what Archos have done is (unless you want to charge up using your computer) make you buy a £30 - £50 dock to charge it up on after the £180 you originally spend. However, if you don't mind dishing out this additional cash that's not all you have to pay for. You have to pay for the program ... ...bad I truly believe that Archos shouldn't be allowed to say that it can produce 16 hours of music playback, as it only can achieve 6 hours at most on 3/4 volume. Although, it is probably just my Archos 605 (30gb) that doesn't allow me to connect to the internet, so I cant even pay for the software that allows me to use the internet more efficiently (as i have been unable to purchase Opera, I havn't shown its price above).
