Archos 605 WIFI 30GB

Archos have been very unfair here, as although when you purchase a mp4/mp3 player a mains charger is not included, you usually can cheaply buy one yourself. But what Archos have done is (unless you want to charge up using your computer) make you buy a £30 - £50 dock to charge it up on after the £180 you originally spend. However, if you don't mind dishing out this additional cash that's not all you have to pay for. You have to pay for the program that allows you to surf the internet (Opera) and you have to pay £20 to be allowed to view additional video formats. So if you have the money to spare you may be happy with your product. WRONG. The battery life is appalling, in fact so bad I truly believe that Archos shouldn't be allowed to say that it can produce 16 hours of music playback, as it only can achieve 6 hours at most on 3/4 volume. Although, it is probably just my Archos 605 (30gb) that doesn't allow me to connect to the internet, so I cant even pay for the software that allows me to use the internet more efficiently (as i have been unable to purchase Opera, I havn't shown its price above). However, the few films I have that the Archos can play (without me paying extra) the quality is incredible; although the bright screen drains the battery even more, if that's possible!! Despite this it is still fantastic as the screen quality is absolutely amazing.
Therefore i suggest you play it safe and buy an 80gb ipod classic (latest generation) as I can assure you, you wont be dissapointed.
