I bought Archos 605 WiFi for two reasons at first instead of other MP3-MP4 players because of it's WiFi browser capabilities and the Linux system it operates but I found myself with a surprise when I received it. The got my MP4 player charged it through the usb cable provided and the tried to connect it to the internet but it said I had to buy the internet browser from the website. After much thought I bought it for 30 euros and did regret it the browser capabilities are quite good and recently all the people who purchased the applications are allowed to use the opera widgets application as well which is quite good. The only disappointingly thing about the browser is that the flash can be really slow sometimes especially with flash games. And the opera widgets since only a bunch of 9 have been officially released from Archos to get more you have to be copy them manually from the opera widgets website to the device but still they work fine. About the Linux system the fact that they mention it is a joke probably from archos since the system is so custom that you can't run/develop any application for it so I wouldn't consider it as a Plus anymore but it's very reliable with hardly any crushes. Another plus when you buy this Archos player is that it can connect to the TV and play movies(archos mini dock) and play or record movies from the TV(archos DVR dock) the first is quite cheap and really useful bought it for 22GBP and never regretted it because not only can you play movies with it on the TV but it can also can connect directly with external hard drives to copy stuff to or from them, it also reduces the charging time dramatically. Another downside is that MPEG-2/VOB - 5.1 sound - AC3 movies cannot be played out of the box you have to pay extra to have them supported another 20Euros also the same holds for Video podcasts where it's another plugin for 20 Euros again. Overall this is an amazing mp3-mp4 player but everything costs extra, so don't be fooled by the price be willing to spent at least another 20-50 GBP after you purchase it for the browser plugin and a dock. It can do stuff other players can't but you need to pay for most of them extra. I would suggest it with no second guess an amazing player.
