In this era of tablets the first thing you have to understand is that this is NOT an iPad. The Archos 70 is overall a very good product that offers robust functionality for a low price.

Ease of use:
Though overall the basic use of the Archos is easy, because of things like multitasking and having to monitor resource usage I believe this device is for intermediate users at least.

Look & Design:
Unique to the Archos product line, the viewing arm is a pleasure. Being able to have your device support itself while you do the dishes, etc really adds to how often you can use it. On the downside its 'sexy' painted look lasts until you have touched it. The chasis and scree both attract fingersprints like police wish a crime scene would.

Range of Features:
The Android Operating system is beautiful and flexible and Archos ensured to add a few of their own touches to make it better. My favorites being custom widgets for music/movies and the AppLib with supposed optimized applications.

Capacity:
At a glance the 8GB capacity seems rather low. Like most Android tablets though this product offers the ability to house a Micro SD card. At the dollar/GB a memory card expansion is cheaper than upgrading to a higher end device and if opting for a Class 8/10 card will often even improve performance.

Screen Quality:
The HD screen offers 720p video. Portable video has never looked so good! The only caviot in this case is that the viewing angle can be limiting while sharing with a friend.

Memory:
I have found that the memory being only 256MB has often caused performance issues without even multitasking that much. For an average person that browses the internet/checks email this product is great. For a power user though you may consider holding out for a device with more RAM.

Support:
The Archos support system is terrible. It is e-mail only and offers scripted supported after lengthly waits. Pray you do not require assistance with your product as I did (mine was a lemon shipped with a crackling right speaker).
