Advantages: Large Viewing Screen, Great Picture Quality Disadvantages: The Hard Drive needs defragmenting occasionally!
Well what can i say, it was a few years ago that i was introduced to the miracle of portable DVR's (DigitalVideoRecorder). It was in the days that i still needed to rely upon public transport to get from A to B almost inevatably via C, D and E! Thankfully a car and driving licence has remedied that!
As i was saying i needed to take a long bus journey and had sat myself at the back of the bus, when a fellow came and sat at the back opposite me. He got himself comfortable and pulled out an AV700, i showed intrest and he gave me a quick demonstration of some of the features, then promptly connected some speakers and spent the rest of his journey listening to music!

Advantages: Everything you could want apart from a phone!! Disadvantages: Earphones might be a proble for some people
I previously bought the Archos Jukebox and have had it for a few years. I had been really pleased with it, unfortunately it was not holding its charge as well and decided to upgrade.
I wasn't 100% sure about buying an AV700 because of the reviews I had read about it. I had read some reviews which pointed out some difficulty when transferring files. I must say I have not had any problems with transferring and files from my pc and in fact have found it very easy. Other problems which I have read about are the viewing screen quality. I have not had any problems with this myself but, I did spend quite a lot of time going through the manual to familiarise myself with the controls etc.

FVRT100 and 150 have 40GB (storage capacity) hard discs but FVRT200 has 80GB and the extra capacity can be useful - mainly because if you do use most of the space the system can become unstable and need a re-set by formatting the hard drive, thus losing recorded material or details of recordings already scheduled
