The PMA430 is a handheld entertainment centre. Like other archos machines it has large memory, a good music player and video recording and playback. This meansany video or dvd, or even films from a Tv channel, can all be put on to the PMA430. This in itself is excellent, but what makes it stand out is the touch screen and PDA capabilities. Along with music, photo and video players, it has an internet browser (Opera) and email. The PMA430 can access PDF documents, or even write its own using the touch screen and stylus, with handwriting recognition. Compared to other PDAs, the archos has a very easy and consistent handwriting recognition program, with no set up needed, but is changeable to your own style. What makes the PMA430 great is the amount of extra software available for free. There is Word, Excell, Other web browsers, Paint, mp3 audio streamer for online radio stations, and even many games including chess and backgammon. I have had this console for over a year now, and it has proved a lifeline on long plane jounrneys. Excellent battery life, screen brightness and ease of use add to the praises I have already mentioned for the Pma430.
I would also like to add that the stores shown sell this item for £299 +, but I searched Amazon and found a german company selling it for £240, with free shipping and delivery.
