The Silentium T Pro did not follow the ATX standard in terms of thermodynamics. This case was developed for noise reduction and optimal thermodynamic properties. The case has been designed from scratch with the goal to reduce the noise to an absolute minimum. Openings to the front of the case were intentionally left out. Air exhaustion and power supply cooling have been configured for a high end PC, despite this high-end configuration the system operates virtually silent. The fans contain patented vibration absorption in order to lower the noise level further. Audio in and out as well as two USB 2.0 connectors are included in the front bezel. The IEEE 1394 (FireWire) connector is optional. Hard disk noise and vibration are eliminated by encapsulating it into absorbers. A HDD cooler keeps it at a low temperature. The mechanically optimized construction using 0.8 mm SECC steel makes this case one of the most torsion resistant cases available despite a relative low weight.

...I upgraded to this Heat sink Fan unit from an Akasa one and the difference in temperatures was great!
With the Akasa model i was peaking on full load at 62 degrees Celsius and with the new Arctic Freezer 7 Pro i am now peaking on full load at 46 degrees Celsius. (My tower also has 3 additional cooling fans as well so i had to point it out.)
The Fan being mounted on the side of the Heat sink is a great idea as heat naturally rises. Also the fins at the bottom of the heat sink direct airflow towards the motherboard components which helps keep them cool.
When this initially arrived in the post i was surprised at the size and weight of it. Its huge!
It was a bit fiddly to install but the fan is detachable to help.
For the price it is brilliant value for money....

Advantages: Very cool, easy to install Disadvantages: copper on the cpu side far from mirror ( needs a polish )

motherboard - ASUS M2N32 DeLuxe Wireles Edition (passive cooling system with HeatPipe)
Cooler is very easy to install just one lever.
More experienced users will probably remove thermal compound and polish the surface of the cooler ( it is far from being a mirror ) and then apply high quality thermal compound.
This will give You another 1-2 C less and faster cooling down after stress.
all tests were done using Zalman STG 1 ( high quality thermal compound )

...The Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 is a great processor for any PC gamer. It works amazingly in my set up consisting of Asus P5B Motherboard, Corsair HX 520w Modular Power Supply, BFG 8800 GTS 320MB, Geil 2GB Ultra PC2-6400 RAM, 320GB Samsung Spinpoint and the Arctic Freezer 7 Pro.
The E6600 comes with a Stock Intel heatsink fan, the CPU manual, a Core 2 Duo sticker which is attached to the back of the manual and of course the processor itself.
The CPU takes a matter of seconds to install as all you have to do is bull the lever on your motherboard to release the CPU socket cover line up the pins on the bottom of the CPU with the ones it the socket and slide it in it should fall in itself you will have to apply no pressure at all. As for the heatsink fan i didn't use the Intel stock fan i used a Arctic Freezer 7...

I bought this cooler the other day on Amazon and it arrived today, thankfully 20 minutes after my new cpu did.
The first thing that struck me was that the fan is positioned to the side of the heatsink rather than on top of it. Thus blowing hot air... more
