I think British teachers are justified in taking strike action, because they are badly paid and they have too much paperwork to do nowadays, on top of that some school teachers have had to work without pay just so that the school can afford to buy school books for the children, because the money that was allocated to those schools apparently went missing, the government said the local authorities had the money and the local authorities said that they hadn't had any or not enough money, so much for, education, education, education! On the other hand, as a parent myself, I don't think that teachers should take strike action, as it could have an adverse affect on the children, when I was at senior school I incited the students to go on strike so that a teacher wouldn't be laid off, I think the teachers at that school realised what effect their behaviour had on us. The whole point of schools is that they are there for the children, they are our future and the future of our nations, they need stability and in england i know it is difficult for people to find child minders for the long summer holidays, let alone finding someone or taking a day off to look after the child. In my opinion teachers should take home more pay and less paperwork.
