If you haven't read the other books I suggest you read them as, despite the glossary at the end, the language takes some getting used to (with made up words and terms etc)! Not to mention various scales including the "snogging scale" and the "having the hump scale".

I bought this book as I have read the other 9 in the series and found them absolutely hilarious! The cover of this one is a nice high-shine metallic gold colour and in hardback! They sell it on Amazon for about £5 or Tesco for £6 so it is a good price!
Set out like a diary, the book consists of the confessions and narrative of the 15 year old Georgia Nicholson. Her and her "Age Gang" are boy-mad(!) and are all finally getting boyfriends- but Georgia has to choose between the Italian Stallion/current boyfriend (and lead singer in a band) and Dave-the-Laugh who is her funny boy-mate who loves her and she is confused about. Along with juggling "Stalag 14" (her school) and her family life this makes for a very amusing read!
Without giving away too much, this book is very good! In general, it is a good book to relax with- and relatively short. I read this book within a day. The few books before this in the series I felt had lost their original humor, but this one has some real comedy moments in it that will make you laugh out loud! Along with some classic Georgia moments (her melodramatics and exaggeration) and phrases it rounds of the series nicely (this is the 10th and last book in the series) and it ends with what we have all wanted to happen all along!
NB: This book is not for the people who lack a sense of "fun" in extreme quantities. As the title may suggest, they can be what is considered immature but frankly, that is what adds to the hilariousity of it all!

Review of Are These My Basoomas I See Before Me? (Confessions of Georgia Nicolson) - Louise Rennison
Advantages: funny Disadvantages: dissapointing final book
...eagerly waited to buy them-they are unbelievalably funny and are full of fabnosity however i found the ending of the book quite rubbish as it just cuts off and doesnt indulge a bit more afterwards. It isn't as full as full of laughs as the recent books as i didnt laugh out loud and get funny looks from nearby people like i usually do when i read these books it kinda dragged on and as i read on i kept waiting for something big to happen and it didn't ... ...and i know the books are diaries but it seems as if they are over a period of around 4 years not 1 and a half. i feel dissapointed as the this is the final book-it didnt have the georgia spark bout it like the other books to be honest. ...

Advantages: Good read Disadvantages: May not be a book that anyone other than teen girls would like to read
Oh dear! The tenth and final fab confessions of Georgia Nicolson! At least best selling and award winning Louise Rennison says she will be back with a completely new series of books!
I love these books, and I couldn't wait to read the final one to see who Georgia picks - will it be Robbie, Masimo, or Dave the Laugh?
The diary picks up from where it left off last time, and follows Georgia and the Ace Gang this time, performing in a school play of ... ...and as usual, Jas and Georgia's silly arguments and slagging off wet Lindsay, although there isnt really much of a plot to it.
I recommend this book, but if you haven't read any of the Georgia Nicolson books before, it's definitely best to read them first. Oh, and it's not the best out of the 10. ...
