Argos Additions is a new catalogue service provided on behalf of Argos. It has been going for about two to three years now and I have been a customer of theirs recently and I have some very good points to make and also some bad ones.
As with all catalogue companies I find you can either receive a great and smooth service or a really poor service or sometimes you can even receive both like I did.
Just before I went to ... ...could spend £200 on my Argos store card which I have and I would still get 6 months interest free shopping on my clothes, which was cool.
I thought it just applied to the store.
So one night I flicked right through the womens section looking for items I needed, that I liked and came in my size and I found it hard to pick out £200 of stuff.
I found their clothes were quite cheap.
I decided to add to my night wear ... more

Just before I went to America I placed a big order. Most of the order being for my holiday as I realised that I had out grown most of my summer stuff due to putting on a lot of weight over the last year.
What was really cool was I could spend £200 on my Argos store card which I have and I would still get 6 months interest free shopping on my clothes, which was cool. I thought it just applied to the store.
So one night I flicked right through the womens section looking for items I needed, that I liked and came in my size and I found it hard to pick out £200 of stuff. I found their clothes were quite cheap. I decided to add to my night wear and got a few pairs of pyjamas and a couple of nighties.
So examples are stretchy black and white checked crop trousers £12, Cropped print trouser £15, Swim suit £9, Mules and free matching leather bag £15, Mac £18, Black and lilac skirt and cowl neck top £25 are just a few of my choices.
You can certainly shop here without breaking the bank and you can even have 6 months to pay for it.
Applying for an Argos card, like all credit is subject to terms and conditionsyou’re your credit rating.
You can apply for one on line or in any Argos store. To apply on line go to www.argos.co.uk.
So on to my experience then.
After placing my order I received an e-mail confirming my order and said that my order would be delivered within 7 working days and I arranged to have it delivered to my local store in North Finchley, North London. I allowed 10 working days before I called them to check and my order was not in the store so I contacted Argos Additions via e-mail who I must say were very good. They responded to me within 24 hours and said they would look into it and get back to me on it.
So I waited a few more days and received a phone call saying that they were extremely sorry about the delay in my order that they would give me 10% off as well as my 6 months interest free which I accepted, although I was still annoyed as I was going on holiday in 2 weeks and most of this stuff was for my holiday.
Anyway my order arrived and I took it home and tried all the items on. I had to send a couple back because they were too small but everything else was fine.
So I packed it in my case.
I then got my statement through and realised they had charged me for a black mac, which I did order but realised I didn’t receive, so I again had to contact them, await for it to be delivered to my store and collect it. I also had to call them to check when it was arriving and if it had arrived which I thought was a little off.
When I spoke to the customer services they told me that I should be contacted when it arrives and not have to keep calling them.
Anyway my mac arrived and was a perfect fit and I was really happy with all my purchases.
They all fitted me ok and have not shrunk or lost colour in the wash or their shape like I have found with some cheap clothes from places.
I was lucky too that I could put it all onto my Argos card and receive 6 months interest free.
I may consider doing this again when I need new clothes then I have 6 months to pay for it.
My order didn’t go that smoothly and there were a few hiccups, which I always seem to get with mail order companies. I must be just unlucky.
They all cater for children, teenagers and men. I have been through the catalogue several times and they have a wide selection of items to suit all sizes, ages and sexes and they wont break your bank account.
They also do things for the home like bedding, curtains, beds, furniture etc.
You can get your catalogue free at your local Argos store today.
Although my order wasn’t smooth, I still recommend them because Argos will never mis sell you anything, they are a well known company who have been going for very many years and just provided this extra new service to customers fairly recently, approximately in the last few years, their customer service is good. I always get a response to my e-mail and they have always been able to answer with my query. If you have to call them too there is no more than a five minute wait and they have a 24 hour customer service helpline which is also very good.
Argos is a company that I can and do trust and I shall be using them again in the future for my clothes, especially when I need a few and I am going to spend over £200 again as then I can have them free for 6 months. Well not necessarily free, but I can save up the money for them over the 6 months.
Thanks for the read and I hope you find it not too boring.
Advantages: Convenient, reasonably priced. Disadvantages: Useless customer service, availability of stock not always good and service wise is not different enough to other catalogues to be special.
...I received appalling service from Argos Addition so if you don't want to hear about it then by all means read the first few paragraphs but you may want to avert your eyes later!
Let's start at the very beginning…
A while ago I complimented a friend of mine on her lovely skirt and she told me she got it through Argos Additions. The following week I picked myself a copy to see what it was all about. The catalogue itself was smaller than I imagined ... ...Argos catalogue or those big jobbies you get through your door after being "specially selected in your area for a special prize". It was close to A5 size although it was as thick as I would have expected.
The catalogue includes own label lines in addition to a few pieces from some designers and the like. Nothing ground breaking. Frankly, in respect of its content it did not go beyond any of the other catalogues available such as Great Universal ...

The catalogue is broken down into the following ... ...me) there is the Argos Card. It has an interest rate of 2.01% and you get 5 premier points for every 1.00 spent.
I absolutly love this catalogue and find there clothing great and kind on the purse strings. I have also tried there footwear and was impressed with the range and style that they offered, so proceeded to buy 4 new pairs. Your flexible friend will come in handy if you love shopping. I have ditched my Kays catalogue and replaced it with ...

Advantages: A large product range that is cheap, fashionable online and in catelogues too. Disadvantages: Would be EVEN better if they added more clothes!
I first discovered Argos Additions catelogue in an Argos store in Lakeside in Thurrock. For those of you who are not aware of Argos Additions, this is a home shopping catelogue, or also operates online at www.argosadditions.co.uk, that sells clothes, lots of them, and a lot cheaper than standard home shopping catelogues!
Index beat Argos in extending their products from home based products to clothing, and were successful as they basically offered ... ...have merged with.
However, Argos then decided to follow suit and diversify their business into clothing and brought out Argos Additions. For those of you who buy clothes from the Great Unniversal catelogue...STOP NOW! Argos additions is basically exactly the same, but cheaper, and quite significantly cheaper at that. The only differences seem to be the same models in the same clothes, but with a slightly different pose. With categologues such as ...

...got my second edition of Argos Addition's today and OK I thought to myself there is no difference with the clothes which Kay's have and which Argos have. I have been a member of Kay's for a well number of years. I also noticed this in the first catalogue of Additions. I wander what's going on. Both companies have the same clothes but some are similar.
So I got home first I looked at the argos catalogue because it is the main one. I found some good ... ...minutes of looking through the Argos catalogue I thought hey I need new clothes any ways for a festival coming up in October so I was excited and looked through the argos additions catalogue. My first step was to the trainers I saw some brand new Nike trainers but too expensive for me. I browse through the catalogue and saw some very favourable T-shirts and bottoms. Thinking to myself I knew these prices would be cheaper than the ones in Kay's. I ...

Advantages: So reasonable Disadvantages: Out of stock sometimes
...coming did any of you? ARGOS selling clothes! Well it's happened and its here so what did I do...? I checked it out of course. I went shopping the other day and I nipped into my local Argos store and took an update of there usual book but I also took their new issue of 'ARGOS ADDITIONS'.
I didn't really think much of it at the time, I didn't really expect anything nice or special but I was surprisingly wrong because when I got home and opened the ... ...was out of stock but Argos handled the situation brilliantly and kindly said that they'd email me when the item came into stock! Great all so simple and all done (Well nearly done!) in just a couple of clicks on my computer mouse! (I could have used my TV remote too!!!) Delivery, seems good too, Argos promise you a 2 working day delivery like many other stores with a 16 day gurantee which is fab. So it all works out really well, so I must say a HUGE ...

Advantages: Home shopping Disadvantages: Cant always get a good view of the products
Dammit, I thought, I havent written a opinion in a while and here I am perusing the sale items on the ArgosAdditions website, I dont have a hangover so why dont I combine the two? So here it is, Emma's first op of the New Year.
Happy New Year everyone.
I'm sure we are all familiar with Argos, those massive queues every Christmas, then the waiting of the products to actually come from the warehouse, passed over to us by harrassed 17yr old students who would rather the government gave them a grant than have to be subjected to the likes of Argos the Saturday before Christmas!
Anyway last year Argos decided to expand their empire by offering clothes, but thankfully decided to keep them out of the stores by launching the ArgosAdditions catalogue, full of mens, womens and kids clothes but also home furnishing and some nursery things as ...
Advantages: wide choice of fashion, very reasonable prices, choice of delivery address, choice of payment method, 24 hour account access Disadvantages: no commision or cash back scheme, poor services
Additions has been around now just over a year. It is the fashion shop along side Argos which do all the DIY, electrical, games, toys etc.
It is a catalogue which stocks reams of fashion for ladies, men and children, all at great prices. I am afraid I am really only going to comment on the women?s section as I do have knowledge of the men?s and children?s as I don?t buy clothes for my man and I don?t have children.
Unlike all other catalogues ArgosAdditions does not have a commission or cash back scheme but the service is spot on. To me service is every thing. With out that then I tend to steer clear. I have found the service with ArgosAdditions the best in the world. I have only ever had to contact them twice and both times they have answered the phone quickly, politely and have dealt with my query then and there.
With the other ...
Advantages: Good selection. Cheap prices Disadvantages: Indistinct photographs
I had been aware of the ArgosAdditions Catalogue for some time but first used it at Christmas to buy a suit for my son. I wasn't sure what to expect for £39 but as everything in the ArgosAdditions is covered by the same 14 day moneyback guarantee as the normal catalogue, I felt I had nothing to lose. I ordered the suit Saturday before Christmas and was advised that it might not, because of the holiday, be delivered until the new year. In the event it was delivered on Christmas Eve ie the time stated in the catalogue. The suit came with a good quality garment cover and was if anything better than I had expected. The photos in the catalogue are too small to really get a proper impression.
Overall I was very impressed with ArgosAdditions and will certainly be using them again. ...
