Advantages: Competitive prices, 14-day money back guarantee Disadvantages: poor range of new products
I've been Argos customer for several times. I have bought pillows, towels, weighing scale and other stuff. The counter staff always seem so busy since argos has loyal customers who keep coming back to the shop. Being a mail order company, Argos is successful in keeping its customers. I am generally happy with Argos service since its price is competitive with other companies. However, I feel that it does not constantly have new products available. ... ...or being featured again and again in several issues of its catalogue. They are just being presented differently. Moreoever, some products are in poorer quality, like the penguine-patterned hand and bath towels which are very thin. But yet again, its 14-day guarantee is good enough to satisfy every customer. ...

Advantages: NONE........ Disadvantages: see op!!!!!
...irrelevant in our society as Argos is.
The advert itself is bright and colourful, but this is done purely to distract our attention away from the fact that its an Argos advert. This advert suggests that at Argos you can get "whatever you want" but this is rubbish. You can get whatever you want as long as its gold and hanging from a chain or has the potential to leave an imprint on someone's forehead in a fight.
The collection area is shameful to extremities. You ... ...that this isn't for you,but the 14 year old girl behind the counter insists you take home this breast-feeding kit that MUST be yours.
My advice to people in the high street is this........don't go to Argos.....please don't be swayed by Francis Rossi and the rest of his trapped in the 80's cronies.Just go shopping properly.....for the sake of humanity. ...

Advantages: Wakes you up Disadvantages: Again, wakes you up
...all, I have nothing against argos itself. I do have something against its adverts though!
First off, what’s with the colour schemes?! Do they want to put us off their products or just make us look away from the screen for a while to rest our eyes from the ummm, lovely greens, oranges and yellows. They may have thought it would catch our eyes, and yes, I admit, it certainly does, just a little bit too much. They then put a few products on top ... ...on offer, or what they want to get rid of more like. What gets me, is the stuff I like the look of never has a price on it! The other items shown on the adverts have prices. Is it just me who has found this?!
Secondly, I normally watch TV in bed, if I don’t, I’m off making a cup of tea in the break. So I’m usually either trying to get to sleep or a bit sleepy anyway. So here we go ‘whatevvverr you want….whatever you ...

Advantages: Enables you to learn the words to "Whatever you want" Disadvantages: Annoying, irritating and tacky
...your best bet. However, if you actually like this advert, pleeease comment on my opinion - I have yet to meet someone like this!! P.S Although the advert is tacky, do no think that I am saying Argos is bad as it can be quite a useful shop! ...

Status NOOOO Review ofArgos Brand [TV Advertisement]by
tyrone
Advantages: none Disadvantages: rubbish idea.
...way of increasing sales then Argos win the gold medal this year. The Graphics are absolute rubbish, random products from the catalouge are flashed up on screen accompanied by the most sickening soundtrack - Status Quo's "Whatever you want", a very clever play on words, but nauseating with it. Argos are the ultimate in catalouge shopping, almost every household has a copy of the catalouge and I have used them occasionaly for bits and bobs I cant find ... ...and disgusting furniture, in reality Argos have some very modern Ikea style pieces and it is a crying shame they went and spoiled it all with this nonsense.
To add insult to injury they have extended the range and now sell clothing in a new seperate catalouge called additions, they have used the same jaded campaign this time with the backing track an old Barry White track my first my last my everything.. not so offensive but its relaveance to clothing ...
