We were not happy with the service we felt that the lad just could not be bothered with dealing with us, and rather be talking to his work mate about weekend plans.

I don't like giving a bad review, but I really have no choice with this one so Sorry.
We bought a bubble machine from Argos Extra store for a great price of £24.99. Service was great. At the store we didn't have to wait long in the store which was a first time.
When we got back home. We took the white box out of the carrier bag and opened the box. We were all exited because it was our little girl's birthday party this afternoon and the kid's would have so much fun chasing all the bubbles.
We struggled to take of the top lid to put the 8 C sized batteries that cost the earth. And we closed the lid. (you could use an AC/DC Adapter if using in doors which would save you that cost). The Adapter should be 12V DC, 500mA . Adapter socket is located on the back of unit.
We had to fill the bubble tank with the bubble mixture that came in the box. So we unscrewd the little black knobs on the back of the machine. Then lift up the bubble machine intill you could see, The very easy to break white plastic tray. Not great as it would sure to break after a few times. We filled the tray to the max line using ALL the mixture they supplied. Replaced the tray into machine and screwed it up again.
We put the black bubble machine exactly as the instruction's said. On a flat surface ensuring that it was never at an inclination of more than 10 degrees using stand provided. Making sure there was nothing around the machine for proper air circulation.
Switched on with the on and off button located at the back of the machine. Stood back 5ft away from machine as it said to be the best result and watched and waited.
The belt inside started to rotate and the air was blowing fast and here they came no more than 6 bubbles at a time. There was many bubble making holes going around and the mixture was full there was just no bubbles. What a big disappointment.
Ater studying it for along time we backed it away, poured the remaining mixture into bottle. The machine had been on for no longer than 5 minutes and used up a forth of the mixture. So it wouldn't last that long before having to fill the unit again. But the mixture can be bought anywhere as its the same mixture that the bubble wands you get every where and dont cost much at all.
We took it back to a normal Argos store, As the Argos Extra store was a long way for us and we didnt have the time to get another machine. We were told that we would not beable to get a refund as it was not an Extra store and they would have to give us voucher's instead.
We were not happy with the service we felt that the lad just could not be bothered with dealing with us, and rather be talking to his work mate about weekend plans.
The good thing is our daughter had a great party and ended up getting a bike as well as we put the vouchers towards a bike for her. That she loves and you dont have to keep filling it up...........
Advantages: To Many To List. Read The Review. !! Disadvantages: Not So Great For Older Kids, !!!
When my son had his birthday party last year we wanted something different for the younger kids to go alongside the bouncy castle that we had hired. We came across two bubblemachines from Argos. Argos one looked bigger and better then the other one but thought we would stick with a well known branded one as we thought this would be better quality.

As far as I know this only comes in two different colours. The green and purple and yellow and the pink and grey one. We could only get the pink and grey one which actually went down quite well at boys birthday party. Though is he'd been a couple of years older I cant see this going down well at tall.
The bubblemachine is quite small and light weight then I expected but still you get many of bubbles ...
