The first thing that I love about the Argos Book is that its a free catalogue which is jam packed with everything and anything. What alot of people forget is that alot of places you have to pay or subscribe for catalogues.
The front cover is so eye catching this years is 'Bursting With Choice' and shows numerous popular items bursting through a hole in the book .i.e. a Sony Ericsson Phone, Dinosaur, Sofa.
Each different section is colour coded so its easier to find the items which your looking at. At the front of the book and now infront of each different section there is a key. Example. The Jewellery Section is Purple and it gives you the page numbers of where you can find rings, watches, necklaces etc. Aswell as the Index at the back of the book, Its getting even more easier and quicker to find a specific item which you are looking for.
The catalogue seems to be focusing on ways of shopping at Argos. You can shop instore via the instore browsers, online via argos.co.uk or at home via the comfort of your sofa, or if your like the men in my life, the comfort of the toilet!!
It gives you details about how you can check and reserve your items. Without this I would be lost because I always seem to pick items which have just sold out. You can find the item which your after, if you get the catalogue number which is easy to find as its in the description, then you have three options, you can text, phone or click online. All three ways can secure your item at your local store 24/7. Thats providing its in stock. One good thing is if its coming on a delivery it can be reserved for you then too!!
You can also get the items in the book delivered, the charge is only around a fiver, compared to most places thats superly cheap!! You call up and then a few days later it arrives on your door.
The book is full of items. There used to be two books. An Argos Catalogue and An Argos Extra Catalogue, Now theres just one. If you dont live near an Extra store you can order the item into your normal Argos so this way everyone has full choice of all the items in the book not just the items which are stocked in your store!
The catalogue has pretty much everything inside. From watches to kettles to sofas to fax machines to mp3 players to wheelchairs to puppy gates to toys for boys, girls and adults!
It gives you a clear description near the item which you've selected this tells you the main detailed about the product. Products which are non returnable or need self assembled are marked, also the heavier items.
As you can take your catalogue anywhere you can prepare yourself for collecting your item, say if you need a car close by or more than one person to help with the bags or whether you need to hide it from someone so it doesnt spoil a suprise.
Its the ideal tool for christmas shopping. It has pretty much everything your after, leave it lying around need the kids and mark my words within a week theres a full list for santa lying next to it.
Something I've never noticed before it now gives you a list of quite a few of the manufacturers helpline numbers, this way you can get on the phone and sort the problem without having to pack it all up and take it down to the store.
One good thing I love about the book is that the prices never change and if they do its only when they are in the sale!!
In my opinion the argos book is part of a household item it has pretty much everything you need for so many different occasions. Its well deatiled and has a great wide choice of lines and different popular brands. It gives you detail about how to go about buying or reserving the item.
The only thing is when you have something you really want and its not in stock, but hey theres 1778 pages you can't expect everything to be ready and waiting to go!!
