Argos Direct

After reading a few reviews of others experiences with Argos, I thought I would do my own review as I have ordered a lot of things from them in this way for convenience. Argos.co.uk is the online version of the catalogue. I find it easier to browse through a paper catalogue, then get online and order what I want. Anyone who so little as looks at my page will be able to see that I am a Sims-aholic; when the release date of The Sims 3 approached, I jumped at the chance to pre-order it. As I have just moved into my first flat, I was looking for some some furniture. I've previously bought items from their shop, and have been very satisifed with the goods. Therefore I decided to use Argos Direct to get a bed, bedroom furniture, plus a TV unit for the living room. After searching numerous websites for bedroom furniture for my childrens bedroom,i decided the ideal furniture was at Argos as it was the right colour,size and looked great. Ordering was easy to do,selecting the items you want and then simply adding them to your basket.I decided to order Pixel Chix house too as it was on sale as that is on one of this years xmas lists (not mine by the way) and i ordered some batteries that were on offer too. I bought a cross trainer online, having receive the machine a week later, I noticed that one of the parts was defective. I called Argos customer service line and they told me that I had to wait 33 days or more for a replacement of the machine because they didn't handle spare parts. I told them that I didn't want to wait and they offered me a a refund for the cost of the machine but they will charge me the cost of the delivery, I told them that I didn't want to pay for the delivery clearly because this wasn't my fault but they just didn't care and will charge the £8.95 for the delivery even ... more
