Do you want it delivered to you!!
Advantages Prices
Disadvantages Takes a while to get to you sometimes
After searching numerous websites for bedroom furniture for my childrens bedroom,i decided the ideal furniture was at Argos as it was the right colour, size and looked great.
Ordering was easy to do,selecting the items you want and then simply adding them to your basket.I decided to order Pixel Chix house too as it was on sale as that is on one of this years xmas lists (not mine by the way) and i ordered some batteries that were on offer too. When all items are added to your basket you can see all items listed with the price at the side and total at the bottom.
I had to select a delivery date for my smaller goods and it stated i would receive a call to arrange delivery of my furniture within 28 days.
I called customer service and got straight through. The lady was nice and i just explained that i hadn't recieved the ones i had ordered.I had ordered a pack of 20 and recieved a pack of 4,so she said she would re-order them for me and they would collect the 4 pack.
2 days later a delivery driver came to collect the ones they had sent in error.I asked if he had my replacement ones and he said he was only collecting and they would be delivered by another van,so i called customer service.Again i got straight through and she said they were on another van and would be delivered later that day......they were.....to a man in Barnsley.I live in Sheffield.Argos called me to say that a man had called to say he had my delivery by mistake,so they would have to re-order them again.3 days later they arrived and were all present and correct, and then i recieved a call from Argos at barnsley saying that a man had taken my parcel to them would i like to pick it up,so i explained to her i had my item as it had been re-ordered.I(I hadnt paid £4.95 to go and collect them from somewhere).
I recieved my furniture on time though within the 28 days.Just got a slight problem with the wardrobe. It came in 3 boxes 1,2 and 3.You open box 1 as it states to ,but the bits you need to start building are in box 2.We built it up,and when we got to the doors at the end 1 is damaged. We are in the process of getting a new door.We have had 2 sent now,and each time they have been damaged in transit. We are currently waiting to see what the next one will arrive like..(this is from the furniture company customer services though)I just think argos staff need to learn to communicate better with each other, and maybe use one van to deliver and collect at the same time and then less problems would arise.
Thanks for reading xxx

sounds very similar to most of my Argos delivery experiences. They are not the sharpest knives in the drawer
