We purchased this trampoline for our son this Christmas. It was on offer for £13.99 when we got it, but usually sells for £18.99.
It comes flat packed and the instructions say it takes 2 adults 30 minutes to assemble. All was going well on Christmas Eve, until we got to the bit where you thread the elastic around the frame and through the eyelets on the tarpaulin to make the bouncy bit! Obviously the elastic has to be very taut to support the weight of the child bouncing, so this means the elastic is only just long enough to go all the way round! It took alot of swearing and heaving to get it from start to finish - that took my husband and I about 30 minutes on top of the 20 minutes assembling the frame The end result is sturdy and safe however, and the experience need never be repeated.
The assembled trampoline is about 2 feet square with a handle about 2 feet high. The handle (which can be removed for older children) has a foam covering to help the child grip. The tarpaulin is strong nylon type mesh, and the whole thing is suitable for use outside. The bouncing part is about 9 inches off the ground.
Our son is 18 months old and this toy is recommended for age 3 plus. BUT HE LOVES IT! I think it is safe for him to use under supervision and he is already confident climbing on and off and bouncing vigorously!
We love it because he wears himself out, and no longer needs to wear out our mattress springs!
In general we think this was a bargain, and well worth the trouble we had putting it together.
