Is anyone still around who knows me? If you are it would be great to hear from you. Leave me a message in my guest book to let me know that you are all ok and I will contact you back. It would be nice to know how everyone is doing.

Just lately I have been looking around at many furniture shops, mainly cos my boyfriend has moved into a new house and wants to replace all his old furniture, but I am also looking to replace a couple of my bits.
Whilst we have been looking around at all the shops such as Courts, furniture village, MFI etc and catalogues such as Littlewoods and Great Universal I have found Argos to be the cheapest for everything they sell, even for electrical items like hi-fi, tv's etc.
Quality
From what I have seen in other furniture shops of items on display the quality of the furniture from Argos is as good as any other shop and they charge so much more for it. I can't understand why people would want to waste their hard earned cash on the same product. I ordered a couple of cheap items of furniture from Argos, like my wardrobe and pine unit and I was quite pleased with my purchases. I mean they were not great quality but then I only paid about 30 quid for each item so I would not expect it to be perfect anyway. But you may pay something like £60 for a better quality wardrobe in Argos and you would have to pay about £90-£100 for the same kind of quality in any other of the furniture shops I mentioned earlier.
Customer Service
I have never had a problem with the customer service I have received from Argos, however occaisionally when I have phoned up to place an order they answered the phone said they were puting me on hold for a minute to check soemthing and cut me off. Now this could be an accident but it has happened more than once. But generally I have found the staff to be most helpful and polite on nearly all of my visits to the store.
Aftersales
I have had to take back a couple of items before to Argos due to one being faulty and one not the sort of thing I was expecting and the have done a straight forward refund without bombarding me with questions. Make sure you keep your receipt though and do this within 14 days otherwise you may only get an exchange if anything at all.
Value for money
As I have already said in the earlier stages of this opinion I have found Argos to be the best value for money on all their products.
Delivery
Argos will diliver for free if you spend over £100 in any one transaction. Now when I ordered my stuff to get it delivered they were unable to deliver it within a few days and I had to wait between 7 -21 days for my stuff to be delivered. Now this did not matter to me on this particular occaision as I was able to wait for my things. But if it is something important like your washing machine has broken down or your cooker blew up and you needed it urgently they are unable to offer emergency delivery which can be a bit of a problem to some people. It will all depend on what you are ordering and if you have something else which you can use in the mean time until they can deliver for you.
I would also like to say that many of their staff have initiative and have a good knowledge of the products they sell. I'll tell why I feel this. I think this, as everytime I have been into a store and there has been a bit of a queue they try to open all the tills or as many as possible at that time. They appologise for keeping you waiting and say that it should not be too much longer. Also whenever I have asked a member of staff about a product they tend to know about it and whether it is currently in stock without me having to check and if they don't know they will take me to someone who will, who maybe deals with that section.I can very often view a product too before I take it home incase it is not what I thought it was.
Generally then to sum up Argos is good value for money, good quality and has good customer service and aftersales and they can deliver your items for free providing you spend £100 but they are unable to offer an emergency delivery service which mean you have to wait between 7 - 21 days for your items.

Excellent opinion, much better than the biased rubbish I wrote on them a few days back! You make some really good points, and your arguments are all justified. Thanks :)
Advantages: Get money off your shopping extra points through adams and BP Disadvantages: You have to spend alot to get enough points for money off things
