I just reviewed the catalogue might aswell do the shop!!

First thing I noticed when walking into my local Argos store is the colour everywhere. I remember the days when it was grey and red my lord making it more modern has been a right move. From the Catalogue to the Sales Leaflets to the Signs hanging from the ceiling. Its all very eye catching!!

The main reason people go to Argos is because they have either seen something they want in the catalogue or they want to go and look in the catalogue. Yet they still put up great and stylish window displays. Which look very cool. My local store at the moment has a Pet Display and a Summer Fun display as well as giant posters in the windows with popular sale items.

The store has stands of catalogues to take away so you can always nip in grab on then go without being bothered. It also has numerous browser catalogues which are kept up to date, extra pages and stickers to correct mistakes are often found in the instore ones. Obviously they cant knock on everyones door and change the ones which have been printed for home use!!

The stock checker is a good send you can check that your item is available to be collected today, that way if its infact out of stock you can select another without wasting time standing in a queue.

The parts of the store are clearly marked out.

You have the Jewellery and Watch Section ' Elizabeth Duke', here you can have a look at any of the jewellery, try it on and even get your fingers measured for your ring size. One of the staff is a main jewellery advisor and can answer pretty much any of your questions. You can order personalised items and different ring sizes if the ring your after isnt available in your size. Many of the staff can alter watch links to fit you right and if you have any fault with a piece of jewellery they are very helpful and will replace or send it away for repair. If in guarantee the repairs free and doesnt normally take to long!
Alot of the jewellery is displayed in cabinets so you can have a nosey even if you dont intend buying!

The tills is where you make all your purchased, apart from jewellery obviously. The queuing system is where you can find numerous baskets which are full of sales items and items which you tend to forget you need like batteries and memory cards! At the tills you can purchase an item, reserve in the store your in or at another store, order and pay for items to be delivered, and order in extra items. The people who are on the till are very friendly, even if the queue is never ending. They offer you alot of stuff such as extra items, insurances and tell you if something is printed wrong in the book about the item you've selected. Which is good because if it turns out you dont want the item or become unsure they can request for it to come down so you can have a look before you buy it!!

Collection Points is where you receive your goods, depending on the amount of people in the store you normally only have to wait a few minutes. To be honest i dont think ive even been in the store longer than 10 all together, looking paying and collecting. Theres normally a few people on this point so that everyone can get there items quickly.

Customer Services. This is where you can look at an item or a few to compare or check it has something which you need it to have. Its also where you go if you have any problems with your items. It seems to run very smoothly, you explain your problem, and they check it out for you, They either replace it or offer an alternative for the item. Some customers do tend to stir a fuss here but its usually the ones that havent got their receipt but really.. you should remember to take it.

The staff always seem friendly and willing to help. The younger ones are very in the know about the new technology, most of the time having tested the items themselves. Even if they have horrible customers who arent in the best of mood, they will just pop on that smile and shout next.

Theres a huge selection of products in the catalogue you cant help but walk out of the store with something.

For people who use argos regulary there is a store card, which can be used with interest free months the more months the more you spend.

They get deliveries every weekday so stock its constantly rolling in so if you do select an item thats not available you dont normally have to wait long before you can get it.

The Speed of Service is usually very good, but obviously if the customer infront of you needs alot of help then it will be longer than expected but cant be helped!

Wedding lists can be made online so if you are getting married you can just make a list then send the reference number to your guest they can then pop in and buy something you want!

Gift vouchers!! For the people who want everything and you cant decide what to get them!!

Items can be reserved via phone text or online before coming into the shop which can save the customer time.

The product availability is great in my words, i mean i know that theres a fair few items which are out of stock but look how many are in stock and when they arent?! Well it just means someone got there before you!!

One really good thing they just changed there 16 days money back guarantee to 30 days!!

I love shopping at Argos it has everything you need at great value with excellant staff!!

Dont Shop For It Argos..I agree with them!!

Well done. Apart from the standing around, there's no point being snooty about Argos; it works.
