Argos Value Range 24 Piece Venice Cutlery Set

I have been looking for a new cutlery set for a while now, the set we had were given to us as a moving gift but they really are quite flimsy to say the least. When shopping around I didn't realise just how expensive plan cutlery could be, the set liked was £29.00 from Amazon and being honest I didn't want to pay that much. So back to shopping around and I came across the Argos site, I had not shopped here in years but I spotted a twenty-four piece for only £3.49!

Argos Value Range 24 Piece Venice Cutlery Set:

This twenty-four piece set consist of six of each - Knives, forks, spoons and teaspoons all of which are dishwasher safe.

My Findings:

First off I was thinking should I really go for a cheap set? Are they going to be flimsy like my other set? Will they wash well? Ect

Reading further on their web site there were a few comments regarding this set saying how well made they are, that they wash really well. So I decided to give them a go, plus if I purchased this set I got a set of six steak knifes for half price so it all seemed like a good deal at the time.

When I first received them they were in a rather small blue box, a rather snug fit too! I took them out the box and I was really impressed by the weight and quality given the small price tag. Each was individually wrapped inside the box keeping the scratch free during transport.

When holding the knife and fork they fit well within your hands, not light but not heavy either. The knife has great cutting power and has a smooth feel to the handle. The spoons are of good size too, the teaspoons seem to have a slightly longer handle than others I have seen great for stirring your hot chocolate in a large mug.

This set is made of stainless steal and so far have found them to be very durable, they have all been used a lot now and the condition is still immaculate. They wash wonderfully in the dishwasher and also great by hand. A cheap and cheerful set!

All of the set has the same thickness when it comes to the handle personally and a plain in printed design. I think the thickness is just right for a perfect hand grip. Being that this is a cheap set looking at them you really wouldn't be about to tell at all

As this is from the Argos value range it can only be purchased from one of their stores. Items can also be ordered from there their website for delivery but there will be a charge.

What I do like about Argos you can reserve your items online which will cut down your waiting time in store, I had paid and received my items within minutes.

Overall:

I couldn't be happier about this set, it is cheap but it doesn't show in the appearance or in quality of the items. They fit nicely within your hands, clean great and very sturdy. Nothing else I could want really, they are perfect.

Right now Argos are doing a special offer where if you buy a cutlery set you get a choice of items you can purchase half price. I chose the steak knifes (review coming shortly) so for only £8.48 I have six steak knifes and a twenty-four piece cutlery set a complete bargain!
