I am not very tall and so find reaching into top cupboards a real problem. In the past I had always used a chair to help me reach, but a few months ago I wanted to decorate a bedroom and knew I needed something a bit more secure to stand on. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a step ladder and after a bit of research on the internet ,found one with great reviews at a bargain price .
The step ladder I decided to buy is one from Argos and is part of their value range. At just £12.99,I wasn't expecting this ladder to be great but was really pleasantly surprised by the quality. The step ladder is quite compact when folded down and so makes storage less of a problem . It has 2 anti slip steps with the top step 46 cm from the ground. The step ladder is 89 cm tall x 46 cm wide and has a depth of 5.5 cm. It is made from steel and feels really sturdy. It is a bit stiff to open but once it is open it locks easily into position and doesn't move .The ladder has quite wide steps and the non slip slightly raised base is reassuring when you are painting a ceiling! I also use this ladder for cleaning windows and changing light bulbs. It is not something I use every day and so the compact folded down size is a bonus. It is quite light at just over 4 kgs and so can be easily carried around the house.
The ladder is available from Argos and can be delivered if you prefer. It comes with a 2 year guarantee. Overall a really useful step ladder at an excellent price!
