ARGOS - STORES AND WEBSITE
Advantages Quick service - good deals - competitive prices - easy to use sites
Disadvantages Low stock availability
I have been a big fan of argos for many years and am lucky enough to have an argos store right across the road and the website at my fingertips 24/7.
I have ordered a wide range of products from argos.co.uk and have used a lot of the services offered - from the online reserve feature - to the delivery service.Products ordered from argos - have ranged from televisions to vaccum cleaners all the way to batteries. The delivery service is fantastic - you get to chose when you want the product delivered - the product s in my experience are always delivered on time and by a more than friendly delivery team.
The argos help system is also very helpful - when i rang to change a delivery date - they were very helpful and immediately gave me a new delivery time and date. The email communications are obviously slower but are of the same qulaity and within 24 hours most times.Argos also offer a wide range of services such as pet insurance - home insurance - and the argos card. I cannot comment on the insurance services available - but i have the argos card - which is all i was promised and more - it is available for use online and instore.
The website is very well set out - everything is split into sections e.g jewelery and you can manouvere the search results by price - availability and popularity. Each product on the site has all the information you need to know as well as the valued customer reviews that have confirmed that i actually did want certain products. Each product has the stock availabilty - if something is out of stock you can be sent an email once it is back in stock. The stock availabilty is shown for home delivery and store availabilty (Sorted by postcode or town).
The site has a FAQ section which basically covers everything you need to know and more - and if its not there you can phone or eamil them.In store - I cannot speak for every store but certainly the stores I have been to have helpful and friendly staff - and a good layout - with lots of catalogues full of products. The stores also have quick paay kiosks - which are very useful and quicker.
Prices - I have found the prices to be very competitive - my only problem with argos is that in my experience they do have limited stock and once it runs out - you could be waiting for a very long time for the restock. The basket is really good - it tells you how much you have in the basket and how much it will cost - you can add more to the quantity of products and remove products easily. The checkout is quick and simple - a wide range of cards are accepted - including credit and debit cards.
After payment you can choose home delivery - or store collection. In my opinion argos is very reliable - has lots of good deals and has a good customer service policy.
Overall argos is a very good company
