Advantages: Extreamly large (though in most cases unnessecery) disk space, fast!
Disadvantages: Practicality

...Okay wow 250 Gigabytes of hard disk space sounds extreamly useful and probably makes you want to buy it with out considering other factors (for me anyway..) but when you look at it you have to ask your self "How am I going to make use of all this space?" and even if you some how manage to answer that question you will have to apriechate how long it will take you to format, defrag and check for errors (despite the very fast file transfer speeds). Now there are a lot of posible disadvantages to buying such a capacity of HD storage space for the average computer user, But if your part of a buisness (home or otherwise) then this would be an ideal solution to ensure you won't ever run out of space to store important documents, programs and other nessecery examples. So my final advice would be to only purchace this if you are in REAL need... Read review

Advantages: Low nose, low vibration, fairly cool for a 400gb drive
Disadvantages: Not as cool or quiet as the HA250JC, but has 150gb more storage

...Building on the success of the now-legendary but smaller HA250JC, Samsung have updated their product line with this excellent 400gb drive. Although it is a 7200rpm drive (unlike the HA250JC which is 5400rpm) this drive still runs remarkably cool for a 400gb drive, and with very little of the rotational vibration that usually mars 7200rpm drives and whcih can lead to "hum" when installed in a TiVo. When "quiet" mode is enabled (using Samsung's HUTIL utility) the seek noise of this drive is extremely soft and quiet - easily the quietest 400gb drive we have ever tested.
