Advantages: Quiet Disadvantages: Not yet found (runned for 4 months)
...I bought this HD in March(4 months ago) for an upgrade to my older 80Gb HITACHI. Similiar to all new harddisks, you could hardly hear a sound when equiped in PC when its doing heavy reading and writing. (Yeah, I'm addicted to BitTorrent downloading, my PC is kept running for almost 7x24, downloading Gbs of stuffs at speed from 600k/s to sometimes 1200k/s, uploading always keeps above 700k/s)
Now it has been 4 months, this hardisk outperformed any other I have owned before. I remember my Hitachi and Segate ones started to making bigger and bigger noise since 2~3 months. (im a HD eater! ha) And the Hitachi one even started to temperorily shut-down with werid noise.
This Maxtor DiamondMax 10 200 GB has no symptoms as above yet. It is still working as original conditions as bought 4 months ago. Satisfied. My friend also said serivce from...

Advantages: powerful, reliable and good looking Disadvantages: a little on the heavy side
...I bought a Travelmate 8100 several months ago and have found it to be a powerful, fast work machine that doubles as a leisure/games machine at home. The fast Intel Pentium M760 processor runs at 2.0GHz and with 2MB cache is more than adequate. I doubled the memory to 2 gb which makes a difference. The 120GB hard drive is great for storing both work materials and photos/videos, and the 15.4 inch widescreen with HD quality is good for playing dvds as well as working. The internal wireless connection works well with the aerial hidden in the laptop lid, although it may be a little slow for fast high speed connections.
A big advantage for the business user, which my network administrator appreciates, is the provision of Microsoft XP Pro as standard, which makes for easier networking....

...Iomega released a new device a mid-end 2001. This is a USB or Firewire removable harddisk.
The version I have is a USB one with a 20GB disk supplied as standard. There is also a firewire version and smaller disk sizes available.
All in all the product behaves as I would expect. It is not as fast as a fixed hard disk, but is fine for general use.
The unit comes in two components, the disk itself (and you could buy additional ones) and a cradle (the bit which is either USB or Firewire).
The harddisk seems ok but being plastic cased I would not want to have it bashed around much, a fairly thick case is provided however for the disk itself (the disk is about 3 inches by 6 inches).
The cradle again is plastic and has a bright blue 'button' style of light on it. Looks ok when it is on the go but the cradle is not exactly made from...

From the first time picture appeared on the internet, the anti ipod brigade touted it as an ipod killer, after all it was sleeker, lighter, had a longer battery life. It seemed the perfect package, and now it touted MP3 Support.
Alas, the NWHD3 is... more
The Buffalo Ministation Turbo USB 120GB is quite a small little storage device, hence the “ministation” in its name. Its size is great as its only 127 x 20 x 84 mm so it’ll hardly make a dent in your pocket. The 190 g weight on its also more
