Advantages: Value for Money Disadvantages: Fiddly interface
...I have had this phone for about 2months and it has proved to be a worth while purchase.
It has an outstanding number of features, most of which I have tested and all seem to work well. The only down side is that the interface with the scroll and push side button, takes some getting used to.
You can store upto 65 name and numbers and the best thing is that you dont have to do it twice. What ever name is entered on the number 1 phone, number 2 phone automatically updates, saving time!
On a single charge it has 15 hours talk time and 200 hours standby time.
The DECT answering machine has 30 minutes with downloadable outgoing messages.
The ringtones that come with the phone are ok, nothing flash, but they are polyphonic and there are 16 to choose from. There is also one recordable melody and 3 downloadable melodies, although...

Advantages: Beautiful design. Superb sound quality. Quality look and feel. Wide range of features. Disadvantages: No common phone book.
...The iDECT X3 differs from the X3i in that it does not have a built in answer phone. Apart from that they are identical.
We have both; we simply re-registered the X3 phones to the X3i base making it see 6 handsets.
Firstly, forget any preconceptions you may have about these being Binatone phones, they leagues apart from what they used to produce in the past.
The phones themselves are very stylish being only 15mm thick and have a lovely clean modern look about them. The keypad is of the membrane type that helps with keeping it clean if sticky fingers get at it! There are two colours of keypad available, a limited edition silver colour and a black. We have both but to be honest we prefer the black.
The keypad is backlit as is the phones colour display. Despite this, standby life and talk-time are more than ample for the home...

Advantages: Simple, comfortable, non pretentious . Uses standard AAA batteries . Disadvantages: None
...Quite smart actually. Ring tones are not silly like alot of these DECT phones. Our previous phones were an iDECT X1 pair and we'd come to utterly hate them, so that's our comparison. These are comfortable to hold for extended periods, and the earpiece/speakphone volumes are good.
The only downside which I would have, and which applies to ALOT of these DECT phones is that they do not share their phonebooks. You have to enter your numbers into each phone. That is annoying, but does not solely apply to these, as the majority of phone pairs are like this.
Menu layout is straight forward and as expected. Weight is good, not too heavy, and not too light. One BRILLIANT feature is that you can assign different ring tones to different people in your phonebook.
Batteries are totally standard AAA rechargables. Our iDECT X1 phones used 2...
