...I have ended up using Ariel Hydractiv Essential made by Proctor and Gamble at £2.88 a bottle. But there are no refills in plastic bags at a cheaper price. The smell of the translucent, aquamarine liquid does what it is supposed to do without fuss and is quite pleasant and doesn’t linger too long on the clean clothes. The white bottle with a comfortable handle is capped with a cap that at first glance would appear to be a measuring cap, but ... ...except that they are wet.
Would I recommend Ariel Hydractiv Essential to someone else? I guess so but it really it is each to their own taste as in spite what the adverts claim all brands are more or less the same. At least that is what I think. ...

...decided to switch and give Ariel a try. Since then we have never looked back! Oh my God this sounds like one of those American 'QVC' type channels does'nt it? Well anyway, here is the rest of my opinion on Ariel Hydractiv Colour. ~Prices~
The price for the bottle was about £4 in Safeway, but after the bottle has run out you can buy it in the pouches, that retail at about £2.50 (thats better is'nt it?).
The bottle gives 20 washes based on a wash ... ...Colour. You can also buy Ariel in Tablets, which are also good, Liquitabs which are hurrendously expensive for the abount of washes you get, or good old ordinary messy powder which is the cheapest of the lot.
All these are in Colour or Normal.

I've used Ariel Liquid, for about four/five years, after using persil. I find the liquid, and rollerball, much simpler to use, and you don't have all that mess, that powders leave behind. Ariel brings up the colours of your clothes, and give them a clean and fresh look. Your whites look, and feel, clean, and crisp.
