First review I have written in a while, bear with me if I come across a bit rusty!
Now I am very fussy about what washing detergent I use! I like to use one that smells nice, and that is my main concern. There’s a couple I can’t use as they seem to irritate me like mad, Persil Non-Bio is a no-go, as is Daz and Fairy. Normally I purchase whatever is on offer, or if I can get to Makro, I will buy it there. Failing that I’ll go for Tesco’s own Bio washing detergent.

These tablets, as they were from Makro, came in 2 boxes of 82 tablets as they are meant for industries such as catering and cleaning I suppose. They were bound together in a sleeve that read ‘XXL Pack’, and the individual boxes state they are ’Proctor and Gamble Professional’.
The packaging is quite attractive in Ariel’s usual green colours, and gives you a clean fresh feeling with pictures of crisp bubbles surrounding an image of 2 tablets. The box in the picture is of the old pack design and has been changed since. I like the ’click-close’ lid on Tesco’s washing tablets packaging, and the one downfall for these Ariel tablets is that the lid stays open once the seal has been broken. This gets on my nerves as the cupboard under this sink is only small and you have to remove the box if you want to get at anything under there!
Each pair of tablets is wrapped in foil, and the foil tears easily to tip the tablets into the washing machine drawer whilst minimising contact with the skin. I am almost always able to place the tablets in the drawer without touching the tablets.
-Price.
2 boxes (84 tablets per box, 42 washes per box, 84 washes from the whole pack) of these Ariel tablets cost me £11.99 at Makro (excluding 15% VAT), so even with the VAT added. This is very good value considering tablets are more expensive that powders, and a 90 wash box of Bold can cost £16+ at the likes of cheap stores such as B&M.
At Sainsbury’s a 24 wash (48 tablets) box of Ariel Tablets costs £6.78 so the Makro price compares favourably!
-Performance.
All you have to do is open the foil wrapper and a tab makes sure that they are opened in a straight line down the side of the wrapper, so they are easy to just tip into the drawer of the washing machine.
Ariel Tablets always seem to remove any stains/dirt I may acquire on a day to day basis, and even without fabric conditioner they seem to leave everything soft and non-scratchy. I still however use fabric conditioner in the wash just for added freshness but not on towels as this reduces the absorbency I find. Plus, Ariel still seems to leave my towels soft without it.
I cannot describe the smell left on the dry load of washing after its been washed with Ariel. It’s a pretty unique fragrance that isn’t of, citrus or lavender for example as can be found with other brands like Bold and Daz. It’s Ariels own fragrance which is absolutely fabulous and you can smell it on your clothes all day long.
-Reccomendation.
If you want a good value, easier way of doing your washing then I’d definitely recommend this product. Great stain removal and great freshness!

Advantages: Quick, clean to use, and clean clothes to boot Disadvantages: None that I've found yet
...When I first saw the Ariel tablets advertised on TV, they made a big deal on how easily they dissolved. Yet more proof to me that there were real flaws in the Persil ones that I had tried, with such awful results.
However, I did tread gingerly, and only purchased a very small trial pack, on special offer. I need not have worried. These Ariel tablets indeed dissolved beautifully, crumbling to nothing in seconds (as I noted from keep opening the drawer ... ...did with them, and these Ariel ones don't even need that horrid little bag like some of the other tablets do.
I would recommend anyone to try these, but it does also make me wonder, where do they go from here? The need to be the first one with something different will surely tell us soon. Let's just hope its in our interests, and not just those of the shareholders. ...

Advantages: Saves you time, free sample pack from website Disadvantages: Fairly expensive
...the tablets. Having used Ariel powder and their other tablet versions in the past I knew that they were a reliable company so was not worried about trying this new innovation. Every since I first used tablets I preferred them to powder - less mess and no measuring. My clothes came out as clean as usual and smelt just as fresh, all for about the half the time in the machine. The clothes were gentle on the skin and felt soft. I’m not sure if the normal ... ...but these definitely saved me some time and I assume are therefore more economic as you use less electricity. If you’re the sort of person that does their washing and leaves it to itself then perhaps these are not for you. But if you are like me and want to get it over and done with as soon as possible then I suggest you give them a go.
If I’ve still not convinced you then why not log on to ariel.co.uk where you can get a free trial pack. They sent ...

...it just get everywhere?) Ariel tablets must work out slightly more expensive than ordinary powder and do not provide results that are any better, however, for convenience they cannot be beat.
I would just advise one note of caution. My husband has slightly sensitive skin and I can no longer use Ariel Alpine tablets because they bring him out in a very itchy rash, it may be useful for anybody with sensitive skin to test Ariel tablets before going ...

...all weekend was discovering, new Ariel liquitabs. You may think, how can that possible be exciting but how wrong you can be. Don’t you just hate it when you put a load of washing in the machine, and forget its there…for a day or two (cringe) well this is what I did. On Thursday I put some washing in and flung in a newly purchased Ariel colour liquid tab. On Saturday morning I remembered and hauled the clothes out of the machine expecting ... ...clothes looking good. The only disadvantage is they are quite expensive at £4.00 per pack of 12, but give them a whirl anyway and I’m sure you will be as smitten as me. ...

Advantages: They clean great and are easy to use Disadvantages: They are very expensive
I usually use washingtablets, whatever is on special offer but I find the cheap supermarket ones not as good as the branded products. Mostly I use a non bio powder or tablets but today I decided to try ariel liquitabs. The thing with powder tablets is they come wrapped in packets of 2 so a 10 wash pack would have 20 tablets in it. The advantage being not so dirty stuff you can cheat and use one tablet. Ariel liquitabs are individual. A 10 wash pack is what it says 10 pouches. The amount I paid was £1.99 for 10 tabs at Ice-land, normally £2.99 for 10, hence another reason to try them.
I would be great on the tv adverts trying this product out. I have 2 of the most mucky boys in England. They both play rugby, and have very muddy kits, so this was my test.

the ball you can hear a slight rattle as they roll around. These green balls provide the washing power to get your laundry clean.
*** How Do You Use It? ***
Rather than adding detergent or tablets of liquid capsules to your wash, you add the Wash It Ball directly to the machine, on top of your laundry. You switch on and select the cycle as normal, and the Wash It Ball then proceeds to clean your clothes in the way any other laundry aid would. However unlike these it is reusable and should last for about 80 1-hour washes. My standard wash is 30 minutes, so I should get 160 hours or just over 3 YEARS of use from it. This is a phenomenal saving on laundry products since one ball costs a mere £7.99, or around 5p per wash. Compare this to ArielTablets (20p per wash based on Tesco prices) or even Tesco's own (16p) and you can see the saving to ...

There was also a small 45g tube of ?Code Wash? multi-stain remover and the ingredients in this sound pretty harmless also, Anion, Non-ion, Soda and Sodium Carbonate. This is a white paste and is recommended for removing diesel and engine oil, so I imagine that the Eco Balls on their own would struggle to cleanse clothing stained with oil. (It?s interesting to note here that this stain remover cannot be purchased on its own on this website, though they do sell Ecover bleach and household Borax. I had to search for it elsewhere and, if you?re interested, found 160ml on www.ecozone.co.uk for £7.99 BOGOF- they also sell the Balls at the same price as I paid.)
